Epic Rap Battles of History Fansite. Comedy/Mini-Series : Epic Rap Battles of History was born of an improv show first performed in Los Angeles in the summer of 2010, where Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD free-styled hilarious and poignant verbal altercations between two characters suggested by the audience. As a result of the show, Nice Peter went to the followers of his already successful YouTube channel and asked his subscribers to provide other potential matchups. Answering the online demand, the first official rap battle between legendary Beatle John Lennon (Nice Peter) and Fox News Bill O'Reilly (EpicLLOYD) was recorded at Maker Studios in Culver City, California and debuted September 2010. Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD decided to continue creating new bouts based on loyal followers' suggestions, and it was the match-up between Darth Vader (masked Nice Peter) and Adolf Hitler (not-proud-of-this-role EpicLLOYD) that turned Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD into YouTube celebrities. The series now has its own YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/erb), website and behind-the-scenes channel (www.youtube.com/erb2). The Epic Rap Battles of History project generates an unprecedented average of 22 million views each month.
