783 millions de personnes, soit 11 % de la population mondiale n'a pas encore accès à l'eau potable. Pour son nouveau film, La soif du monde, Yann Arthus-Bertrand revient sur la consommation d'eau dans le monde et est allé à la rencontre de femmes et d'hommes qui agissent au quotidien. Diffusé le 20 mars 2012 à 20h30 sur France 2, la Soif du monde sera également projeté au Forum mondial de l'eau à Marseille.

Rio de Janeiro (TMNews) - Le fotografie aeree del nostro pianeta di Yann Arthus-Bertrand proseguono nel loro giro del mondo e approdano in Brasile, a Rio de Janeiro, a fare da contorno iconografico alla Conferenza dell'Onu sullo sviluppo sostenibile."E' una mostra grautita per le strade - spiega 66enne il fotografo francese - che ha già toccato 150 città. Ma questa volta ci sono delle differenze: alcune immagini sono molto recenti e, soprattutto, ci sono i dati delle Nazioni Unite, che fanno il punto su ciò che è accaduto al nostro pianeta negli ultimi 20 anni. E, bisogna dire la verità, la situazione dell'ambiente è decisamente peggiorata".Il pubblico brasiliano sembra apprezzare e recepire il messaggio ecologico del lavoro di Arthus-Bertrand, come spiega questa ragazza. "Da quando inizi a guardare le fotografie - racconta - capisce che il pianeta è uno solo, e che per prendercene cura dobbiamo prestare attenzione a ogni sua singola parte. E quindi scatta una consapevolezza ambientalista che deriva dai diversi punti di vista, una diversa realtà nella quale ognuno di noi si trova al centro di tutto"."E' un campanello d'allarme per tutti - aggiunge una signora. E io credo che sia una sfida rivolta a tutta l'umanità, non solo a noi brasiliani". E la battaglia per difendere la Terra passa anche attraverso lo sguardo, ormai divenuto classico, di Yann Arthus-Bertrand.(Immagini Afp)

A poco más de un mes para el inicio de la próxima Cumbre de la Tierra Río+20 desembarcó en Brasil una exposición llamada "La tierra vista desde el cielo". Esta muestra del fotógrafo francés Yann Arthus-Bertrand tiene lugar en las calles de Río de Janeiro y permite apreciar imágenes de las zonas con problemas ambientales de todo el mundo a lo largo de los últimos 20 años.

Rio+20 : the oceans
Rio+20 as seen by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, president of the Good Planet Foundation, phtograph and film director.
This conference is being held in Rio de Janeiro from 20 to 22 June 2012, 20 years after the first Earth Summit, which had marked a turning point in the consideration of environmental challenges at the international level. It helped foster the recognition of an integrated approach to sustainable development and the fight against poverty, in particular its social and environmental aspects.
