What's up, Superman!
After the soundtrack of this classic Superman episode was urinated on by AEFCN office dog "Tramp", the cast set about the task of re-dubbing the voices. When the transcripts of the original scripts were lost, they dubbed in what they deduced, based on the action, the dialogue should be. Perry White turns the "Daily Planet" into a sex magazine for old people, Lois Lane is a nympho and Superman is a flamer. Think Woody Allen's "What's up, Tiger Lily" and you get the idea. The amazing Emily Wing lends her talents as the voice of Lois Lane. (www.emilywing.com)Originally broadcast on the now defunct "Amelia Earhardt Fan Club Network", the indie cable station. Once shown on over 2500 cable stations nationwide, before creator Tor Ramsey elected to cast every single show with the same cast, as well as every commercial. First season of shows broadcast on TAEFCN now available on DVD.

Woody Allen a Montecatini Terme

What's up movie buffs, Thanks for coming back to Clevver Movies, I'm Tatiana Carrier and I have the latest on this past weekend's box office numbers. The last couple have weeks have been ALL ABOUT Transformers: Dark Of the Moon, who stayed put in first place for box office numbers...as you may have already guessed, all of that changed this weekend with a few wizards that literally took over the box office...We reported record breaking numbers in ticket sales before the flick even hit the big screen, so it comes as no surprise to us, that Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2, dominated the box office this weekend. The Deathly Hallows Part 2 is officially the most successful film franchise of all time, and this past weekend, we saw why. The flick had the top weekend opening of all time at the domestic box office and grossed 168.6 million. Overseas, the pic opened to a massive $307 million, bringing its worldwide debut to $476 million--the largest on record by far, easily surpassing the $394 million earned by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. In other box office news, Transformers Dark of the moon held on in 2nd, grossing $21.2 million over the weekend for a cume of $302.8 million. Other stats for the weekend include Winne The Pooh who debuted with 8 million in the box office, coming in behind Cars2 which grossed 8.3 million. Finally, Woody Allens Midnight in Paris grossed 1.9 million. Well there ya have it! The weekend box office round up! Were you a part of the HP madness this weekend? Did you dress up? The Oscars are just a few days away, and ofcourse, we have our Ballot pool predictions, and we want YOU to weigh in! Hey everyone, thanks so much for tuning back into clevver movies, Im your host tatiaana carrier!
.
Now, we did an Oscar prediction show when the noms were announced (cut to that footage), but since then, other award shows have come and gone, giving us a little more insight as to who will take home OSCAR! Here is what we think for each major category!
.
Best Picture: Early on, this was a battle between the two films with the most nominations, Hugo and The Artist. With several wins at other big award shows, we think The Artist is the hands down favorite to take the prize.
.
Leading Actor: This will be one of the toughest races to predict for the evening. It's currently a dead heat between George Clooney's role in The Descendant and Jean Dujardin in The Artist. George Clooney is Hollywood's golden boy, but already has an Oscar for his role in 2006's Syriana, so it's for this reason that we are putting our money on Jean Dujardin to win.
.
Leading Actress: This is another heated battle between Viola Davis in The Help and Meryl Streep in The Iron Lady. One of Meryl Streep's biggest negatives is the fact that she's so well respected. She's been nominated a total of 17 times since 1979 and most people think she has a house filled with statues, despite only actually having two wins with her last being in 1983 for Sophie's Choice. Another negative for her is the fact that she was in a movie that has not been as well received as The Help. We think Meryl will have to wait a little bit longer for her third Oscar as this one will be going to Viola Davis.
.
Supporting Actor: Christopher Plummer will win for Beginners. This seems like a no brainer for us.
Supporting Actress: Not much competition in this category either. The award will most likely go to Octavia Spencer for The Help. Though some believe an upset from the likes of The Artist's Berenice Bejo or Melissa McCarthy for Bridesmaid are possibilities if Octavia's votes get split with her co-star Jessica Chastain, we just don't think that will happen. It will be a good night for the ladies of The Help.
.
Animated Feature: Early on, we predicted a win for one of the smaller nominated films - either A Cat In Paris or Chico & Rita. Though this may still happen, we think Rango has gained some momentum the last few weeks and will take home the top prize.
.
Directing: Despite early support for Martin Scorsese to take home his second Best Director Oscar, Michel Hazanavicius' recent Directors Guild of America Award win places him as the frontrunner to take home the Oscar.
.
Adapted Screenplay: With its recent Writers Guild Award, The Descendants should take home this category as a runner-up prize for losing Best Picture.
.
Original Screenplay: Woody Allen most likely won't be showing up to the awards show, so we'll have to wait and see who accepts the prize, because he's definitely getting the win.
.
So what do you guys think of our picks? You guys can see our full list by checking out our blog and also, make sure you chime in below! You cant have a pool without other ppl sounding off, so leave those comment! Thanks so much for watching, we will see you next time!
