Sundance Film Festival gets underway
The 2011 Sundance Film Festival opened this week with the new Beastie Boys film, Fight For Your Right Revisited.
The short film, directed by Adam Yauch, is a follow-up to their classic music video Fight For Your Right (To Party), and stars Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood and Danny McBride as the Beastie Boys themselves, with cameos from Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly and Jack Black.
Speaking from the red carpet, Elijah Wood said the all-star cast was a massive draw: "Reilly, Will Ferrell, Seth Rogen - what an absolute dream to work on a Beastie Boy's video. I am a huge, huge fan. To work with those comedians, it was an awesome opportunity," he said.
Police drama The Guard, starring Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle, also premiered on opening night.
Directed by first time Irish filmmaker John Michael McDonagh, The Guard tells the story of a village cop who faces off with an FBI agent as he chases down an international drug-smuggling ring.
Don Cheadle said: "I think the difference between small movies and the big movies is that you are here for the love of the game. It is not about the bells and whistles, you are here because you really want to do the work."
Meanwhile, rapper Snoop Dogg added a hip-hop flavour to the Film Festival's opening night, performing on the main street.
Sundance, which takes place in the ski resort town of Park City in Utah, celebrates independent filmmaking and ends on January 30.

Im Dana Ward for Clevver TV and today were chatting about the Razzies. Its the award that no celebrity actually wants to win. Thats because the Razzies honor or according to its official site, DIShonor some of Hollywoods top stars. Yes, you heard correctly: the voting members of The Golden Raspberry Award Foundation decide the worst actors, actresses and movies in the entertainment industry. This 30th annual show nominated Miley Cyrus for Hannah Montana, Beyonce in Obsessed, Golden Globe winner Sandra Bullock (but for the movie All About Steve), Sarah Jessica Parker in Did You Hear about the Morgans as well as Megan Fox in Jennifers Body AND in Transformers 2. They must really love Fox over at the Razzies. Meanwhile in the worst actors category, all three Jonas Brothers got a nod for their 3-D concert experience, as well as Steve Martin, Will Ferrell, Eddie Murphy and John Travolta. If you can believe it, these guys and gals also de-crown supporting roles. Some possible favorites in the fan world include Billy Ray Cyrus, Hugh Hefner, Ali Larter, Sienna Miller and get this Robert Pattinson. And in the Worst Screen Couple, straight from the list, any two or more Jonas Brothers, Shia LaBeouf and EITHER Megan Fox OR any transformer as well as Kristen Stewart and EITHER Robert Pattinson OR Taylor Whatz-His-Fang. Speaking of Twilight, New Moon got put into the worst remake or sequel category in addition to a worst screenplay nomination. Now obviously there are a lot of fans out there who love some of these actors, actresses and films. Whats your response to your favorites being nominated for the worst of 2009? Hey Everyone I'm Chelsea Cannell and your watching Clevver Movies! Could Zoolander and Hansel be headed for another pose off? Let's hope so! Ben Stiller was recently interviewed and he graciously gave up some details on the quirky comedy sequel. While he wouldn't say too much, what he did divulge was that the script HAS been delivered to the studio and it's now up to the development gods to get 'er going! Stiller added that Part 2 will take place 10 years from the last misadventures of the mis-quided models, with most of the film set in Europe. Naturally he didn't want to give up too much but did say that while the last movie ended on a happier note, in the 10 years since, a lot has happened to Hansel and Derek. They have no doubt aged, are no longer relevant and thankfully have given up deadly gasoline fights! At least that's our hope. One character who will still be relevant thankfully, is the oh so good yet oh so bad Mugatu. According to Stiller, Will Ferrell has expressed interest in reprising his role and thus has been written into the script. So how do you feel about Zoolander 2? Are you excited at the prospect of seeing what Derek and Hansel have been up to? I'm guessing a lot of Botox but that's beside the point. These 2 jokesters never leave us hanging when it comes to a good laugh, and weve just learned that the two will be teaming up for a political comedy entitled, Southern Rivals! The flick will officially begin shooting in OCTOBER and we don't know much except the two guys will be rivals in a political race...does this mean that Ferrell will be busting out his famous bush jr impression on the big screen? I guess we will have to just wait and see! I don't know about you, but I cant wait for this one...these guys plus the controversial topics in modern day politics will definitely make for a solid comedy! Southern Rivals hits the silver screen august 10th 2012 just in time for the craziness of the presidential election! According to the Hollywood reporter Drew Barrymore and Eddie Murphy have topped Forbes Magazine's 2011 edition of their list of Hollywood's Most Overpaid Actors. According to the magazine's data, which looks at the star's compensation for his or her last three films and the operating income for those films, Barrymore returns just 40 cents for every dollar the studios spend on her. The number two performer on the list, Murphy, may be in the midst of a career upswing, with his role in the upcoming Tower Heist and his gig hosting the 2012 Oscars. The magazine calculates that Murphy returns $2.70 for every dollar spent on him. Also on the list is one of my all time favs, Will Ferrell, who topped the magazine's overpaid list for the previous two years, was third in 2011. His return is $3.50. Reese Witherspoon is just behind Ferrell, with a return average of $3.55 and finally Denzel Washington rounds out the top five, with an average of $4.25. Will Ferrel is going back to the newsroom and channeling his inner ron burgundy! Yep we are talking about the anchorman sequel and we have the details!

Great Odin's Raven! Will Ferrell took to Conan last night dressed as one of his most beloved characters, Ron Bergundy, to announce a sequel to his hit 2004 film Anchorman.

Ferrell said: "I want to announce this to everyone here in the Americas, to our friends in Spain, Turkey and the U.K. -- including England -- that as of 0900 mountain time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman."

It has long been one of the major questions for the star at various junkets and premieres and fans can finally rejoice at the return of the Action 4 News Team. Most of the team from the original film will be returning, including writer/director Adam McKay, who will pen the script with Ferrell as well as producer Judd Apatow. Co-stars Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and David Koechner have also been confirmed to return. No word yet on if Christina Applegate, who played rival and love interest to Ferrell's Burgundy, will be joining the cast for the sequel. Production is expected to begin at the end of the year for a 2013 release.

Will Ferrell was spotted walking to his car on Melrose Boulevard and the funny man was rocking his Shape-ups! Will was asked if he the shoes keep him in shape and he just smiled back... and from the looks of Will's physique the shoes seem to be working!
