Last night's Heart of Darkness episode of "The Vampire Diaries," saw Elena making some serious moves, AND the romantic tension between her and Damon hitting an all time high. As season 3 nears its close, fans of the show are finally getting some real action from the Elena and Damon relationship. In Heart of Darkness, the duo headed to Colorado to pick up Elena's brother Jeremy and fill him in on what's been going on with Alaric's evil alter-ego. While that might have been the public reason for the trip, the secondary reason was all about giving Elena the opportunity to sort through her feelings and figure out whether or not she likes or maybe even loves Damon. After the pair finds Jeremy, they settle in at a local motel for the night, and this is where the action goes down. Damon lies down next to Elena and when he innocently grabs her hand, she flees the room and he follows her out to the motel balcony. After a few moments, a very distressed Elena does the unthinkable and SHE (not Damon) goes in for a kiss. And we're not just talking any old kiss, but rather a TMOS -- aka a Total Make Out Session! This goes on until Jeremy catches them in the kissing act, but we want to make sure and point out that it was Elena who initiated this entire situation, which definitely marks a turning point in their relationship and in the show's plot. Bonnie and Stefan straight up get attacked in the latest photos from The Vampire Diaires. Thanks to the CW for sending the pics our way, we get an insider look at the upcoming episode titled Before Sunset. It looks like just before they fly to the ground, Damon shows up holding Bonnie -- so we're pretty sure that she took on a pretty intense and dangerous spell. Based on her 20s getup, she may have come straight from the high school dance. Also in these pics for the May 3 show premiere, we get to see Klaus who is quite intent on leaving town with Elena -- but not without some resistance from a surprising new enemy. Looks like Jeremy is also getting involved when Klaus shows up and there might even be a surprise there! We've got a link below to the full photogallery so check it out. Joe Jonas hit up Coachella for its final weekend and would you believe it - he was spotted hanging out with several of our favorite guys from CW's hit show "The Vampire Diaries." Joe, who was photographed shirtless and rocking a tank top earlier in the day is looking pretty fit these days. And we love that he posed for a quick photo with Steven McQueen, who plays Jeremy on the show. Steven was tweeting quite a bit over the weekend, first noting that he slept in a little too late so he was sitting in some serious traffic. But once he arrived at the festival, it was nothing but fun when he met up with his TVD co-stars, as shown here -- that's Steven on the left, David Anders (who played the now dead Uncle John Gilbert), next to him is Zac Roerig and lastly, there's Michael Trevino who looks like he's having a blast. Michael, who plays Tyler on TVD, hit twitter on Sunday night to say that QUOTE: "Coachella was a success. Made it out alive surprisingly." Fans of the Vampire Diaries should probably grab their tissues, because according to the show's executive producer Julie Plec, tonight's episode will be QUOTE: really, really sad. The always-catastrophic decades dance is set for tonight's showing which is titled "Do Not Go Gentle." According to Plec, Elena will ask Stefan to the dance, despite her wild make-out sesh with his brother Damon in the last episode. Plec calls this couple up "sweet, romantic and it's them at their best. It's them coming back together and having a night. And of course," she adds, "it will go horribly, horribly awry." About things going awry, there are tons of possibilities -- there's the crazy situation with Alaric and Esther, who FYI is still inhabiting her daughter Rebekah's body. Esther has it out for all of her children and will not stop until they're all dead. Caroline and the others are very well-aware of the definitive fact that Klaus' death would also mean Tyler's death. Tyler admits his jealousy over Klaus' flirtation with Caroline, but he says he's willing to compete for her if he has to. And you know how competitions with Klaus go -- someone is bound to end up 6 feet under. IN fact, Julie Plec added that there will be a lot of stuff that goes down in this episode that is really, really sad. So there you guys have it -- Plec didn't say "really sad." Oh no she said "really, really sad," and that double use of the word really, well -- it has us really, really worried. What do you guys think is going to happen? There's a new cast member headed to Rosewood -- Get excited, Pretty Little Liars fans! Thanks so much to our friend Robyn Ross at TV Guide for the inside scoop, we hear that the question of if Maya St. Germain was murdered, Sterling Sulieman is taking on dramatic season 3. He's set to play Maya's cousin, Nathan who apparently transfers to Hollis College. Plus, he's not just studying the law books but he's also taking notes on the new people in his life. Sterling has been all of the place in the industry, including as a dancer for the High School Musical tour, a host for Disney and he even played Harper on The Vampire Diaries during season 1 -- he's one of the people who got locked up in the tomb. Stefan & Elena Back ON & Alaric Dead? TVD 3 x 20

Stefan and Elena reunited and Alaric as we know him is dead -- those are the headlines from last night's episode of the Vampire Diaries and ClevverTV has the full break-down. Last night's showing, which was titled "Do Not Go Gentle" pulled in huge numbers, with 2.23 million viewers tuning in, and that was likely because fans of TVD knew that with the decade dance set to go down, drama was sure to be aplenty. And based on what we watched last night, the decade dance must be cursed. This episode kicked off with great intensions and a ton of romantic nostalgia as Elena asked Stefan to the big dance. Despite all of the craziness that occurred throughout the episode, the connection between these two was really touching and sincere. And FYI -- for those of you wondering, Stefan didn't want to know anything about Damon and Elena's motel make-out sesh from last week. And he, being the consummate gentleman, didn't even kiss Elena at all. The absence of a kiss might have been due to the situation that ended up going down with Alaric. To put a very long story short -- Esther attempted to turn Alaric into the ultimate vampire hunter -- similarly to what she did to her husband centuries before. Alaric however, refused to complete the transition into a vampire and Damon sat with him while he died. This entire portion of the show most definitely lived up to Julie Plec's promise for something "really, really sad." Seeing Elena and Jeremy say goodbye to him was heart-wrenching. Just when viewers thought that Alaric was dead though, a possessed Bonnie enters the tomb, feeds him her blood and the transition to vampire is complete. So no, Alaric is not dead yet -- but the Alaric that we all knew and loved sure is. The next episode looks like it will be a doozy as well.
