Macy tells Brooke that she's pathetic and useless. Deacon leads Macy out. Nick takes Brooke home and apologizes for walking her into the line of fire. He embraces her supportively, unaware that Ridge is watching them. Nick assures Brooke that she'll be okay. She explains to him that for now, she wants to be alone. Nick kisses Brooke, and leaves. Ridge watches as Brooke goes upstairs, his heart breaking for her. Brooke sees Ridge and orders him to leave. Ridge wants them to start their own company and he has a fashion house that's ready to go. Brooke finally realizes he means Spectra Fashions. Ridge unveils the new logo for Logan Designs. He points out that Marone owns Spectra and it's Ridge's choice if he wants to take the company in a new direction. Brooke jumps into Ridge's arms and they kiss. Macy is pumped up as she gets ready for bed and wants Deacon to share her enthusiasm. Deacon wonders if they used Little D's stock to get back at Brooke. Macy insists that she's feeling good because Deacon gave her the strength and confidence to stand up to Brooke. Deacon embraces Macy, who tells him that as of today, she is finally free of Brooke Logan. She has an amazing husband, a wonderful family, and nothing in the world to worry about.

B&B Jan 27th 2004 Part 1
Ridge and Bridget discuss how Nick has gone looking for Brooke. Ridge states he cannot run after her too because he has his children to think about but he promises to never give up on Brooke. Bridget is encouraging. Nick tracks Brooke to a Retreat Center in Paris but one of the Nuns stops him from seeing her. She reassures Nick that Brooke is in good hands. He pleads with her, insisting he just wants to be sure she's all right. Meanwhile, Caitlin is interviewing Eric when Jackie arrives to announce that she will not be resigning her position. Caitlin sees the sketch Eric has drawn of Jackie and realizes there is more to their relationship. Jackie quickly exits. Deacon provides Massimo with ammunition against Eric in the form of tax returns. Massimo and Hudson agree it is useless information. Deacon is upset but vows to find something worthwhile to use against Eric. Massimo tells him not to bother.
