Kristen Stewart is ready for her next big starring role, and no we're not talking about the upcoming Breaking Dawn Part 2. Yes, we are super stoked for the final Twilight film to hit the public on November 16, but right now we're talking about Cali. We hear that's the title of the new movie -- it's being slated as a bold action flick. According to Variety, Kristen and an on-screen boyfriend disappear after getting mixed up with and conning the wrong people. They have to head back to California -- or Cali -- in order to save her younger sister who they left behind. This is definitely more of an adult-themed movie and will probably have a R rating based on the early descriptions, but very exciting news, we hear that KS will actually be on the producing docket and it will be her first producing credit to date. Kristen Stewart was the guest of honor on the Jimmy Kimmel show last night, and aside from showing off a cute outfit, the Twilight star was also sporting a bit of a limp. K-Stew is currently in the thick of promoting her film "Snow White and the Huntsman," and she jokingly explained that she injured herself during this busy time purposely. Keep in mind that the actress hurt her hand right before starting to promote Breaking Dawn Part 1, and despite these minor setbacks, Kristen was very upbeat during the interview and seemed to be having a great time. She explained that she was injured after stepping on a nail during the recent reshoots for Breaking Dawn Part 2. She also joked that this time around saying goodbye was anti-climactic, as it was the third time they'd thought they were finished shooting. But she assured Jimmy Kimmel, that this time it's really done. And Kristin Stewart heals up pretty quickly -- the Kimmel segment was pre-taped last week and just last night she was spotted rocking some killer heels at the Met Gala last night in New York, so it seems as though all is well in the world. Kristen Stewart showed off her flare for edgy and chic fashion when she hit the Met Gala red carpet last night. The Twilight actress, who is also the face of Balenciaga, wore a creation from the high-end fashion house to what many consider the US's biggest night in the couture world. As usual, K-stew stayed true to her own personal style by wearing something a little bit rock and roll. The knee length frock featured some funky red, black and purple on the bottom, while the top portion was a hip geometric silver and black print done all in embellishments. This dress was one of the more risky looks at the MET gala and that's why we love it -- this event is all about fashion as art and you're definitely getting that idea with this dress. To finish off the look, Kristen rocked some unique black pointed-toe pumps with tons and tons of thick white straps and in true K-stew form, the stylista opted for simple hair and makeup and said no to accessories. Kristen Stewart took a 19-million dollar pay cut for the upcoming movie, On The Road. We just read this awesome article from The Hollywood Reporter about the process of getting the famous Jack Kerouac novel made for the silver screen. It only took more than 50 years to happen! So the story goes that one of the bumps in the road was the fact that Kristen Stewart was signed on for the movie years before production and much before she got to her Twilight star status - would she stay committed to the film?? Well, of course she did still work on the film, but according to this THR write-up, for On The Road, the star only made about one one-hundreth of her Breaking Dawn Part 2 20-million dollar paycheck. Keep in mind that On The Road wrapped right before the Twilight cast headed back to production in October 2010, so it was all around the same time. If you're into film, here are some more things that happened that almost put On The Road on the backburner for even longer: Old Hollywood icon Marlon Brando turned down the project in the late 1950s, Francis Ford Coppola never directed it even after buying the rights about 30 years ago and that in more recent years, the budget got slashed from 35-million dollars to about 25-million dollars. So it looks like Kristen wouldn't have been able to do the project with her most recent Breaking Dawn compensation. Alright, that's it for now.
