LITTLE GLITCHES
www.balconytv.co.uk PRESENTED BY COLLEEN O'KEEFFE

Tangled up in hazy electronica and folk roots, the four piece's sound is built from intricate layers of guitar and Rhodes piano, over a constantly travelling rhythm section, with four soulful voices raising the call to arms. Or singing for their supper. Drawing comparisons with Buffalo Springfield, Turin Brakes and Parsley Sound, this is a truly satisfying feast for the ears, with little glitches proving they can provide deeper nourishment with each successive sitting.

JAIME REGAN
PRESENTED BY KEVIN

Jaime Regan is a British musician and singer-songwriter. After a few years of playing solo in Brighton, Jaime emigrated to New Zealand in 2003, where he formed his own indie-rock band, who quickly became popular on the local music scene and garnered a number of accolades from the national New Zealand Press for their atmospheric sound, energised performances and Jaime's distinctive voice.
However, torn between his family roots in the UK and the beauty of his newly-adopted home of New Zealand, Jaime finally returned to England after three years.
Arriving back in Brighton, he played solo for a short while, before forming a melodic indie-rock band until the winter of 2008, when Jaime put himself into a self-imposed hibernation, writing solo songs and making stripped back, intimate home recordings.
Emerging in the spring of 2009, he headed into Church Road Studios in Hove with a collection of demos, a headful of potential ideas and the intention of exploring the songs in the setting of a real studio, working with the talents of resident producer Julian Tardo. A few weeks later, the songs that would become the True North EP were wrapped in lush, layered vocal-harmonies, acoustic bass (courtesy of Eddie Myer from Turin Brakes) and Jaime's haunting vocals, but they still retain the warmth and intimacy of those home demos; the sound of a solitary singer playing his songs as though to a sole listener.
With the True North EP now complete, Jaime is booking gigs across the UK, Europe and beyond and has begun work on his album, due to be self-released in early 2011.
"[The True North EP] shows a songwriter at the top of his craft" - Vicki Anderson, The Press, NZ, April 2010
"...all the audience chatter died away as every eye turned on Jaime, mesmerised by his amazing voice" - Bill Smith, Latest 7, Brighton
"A great mix of early Bonnie 'Prince' Billy; mournful, slightly psychedelic, and brilliantly bleak" - Jeff Hemmings, Radio Reverb/Latest 7, Brighton

FROM THE MORGAN HOTEL IN TEMPLE BAR
PRESENTED BY TOM MILLETT

The Pins hail from the Essex/Hertfordshire borders and have been causing quite a stir in the short time that they have been together.

Having sold out their local club night for their first ever gig, The Pins went on to play headline shows in Harlow, Cambridge, Hertford, Chelmsford and Bishops Stortford. But it isn't only the provincial towns that have taken a liking to these guys as they have performed at a number of top venues in London including Proud, 229, The Water Rats, The Bull and Gate and 333 Motherbar. Along the way they have played alongside some great acts including Turin Brakes, The Rifles, Twisted Wheel, The Blockheads, The Holloways, Official Secrets Act and The Subways' Billy Lunn.

The Pins have also performed in Austria by invitation of Weekender Records and were mobbed by Austrian fans wanting autographs and photographs of the band. In late 2010, The band went on a whistle stop tour of North England with a festival slot in Silloth and headline shows in Whitehaven and Newcastle. Early 2011 saw the guys head to Ireland for a mini tour of Dublin with 6 shows in 4 days culminating in a sold out headline show for the Doxbridge student event.

With their debut single '7:22' peaking in the iTunes chart at number 17 and their next single due for release in the spring, interest in the band at the moment is incredible.
