Tom Cruise Talks Top Gun 2! Hey everyone, thanks again for watching clevver movies, Im your host Tatiana carrier with the details about what top gun star tom cruise has to say about a sequel! . Cruise recently spoke to MTV and confirmed that he was in fact involved in the top gun sequel by saying, "we are working on it!" . He also went on to reveal that he didn't think that Christopher McQuarrie, who was previously hired to write the script for the sequel, may not have time. HE said, "I don't think Chris [McQuarrie] is going to write it. Chris is directing 'One Shot' right now, which I'm acting in. We've got to go back in January and finish it," . And regarding reuniting with director Tony Scott and producer Jerry Bruckheimer for the possible sequel, Cruise said "Tony and I and Jerry, we never thought that we would do it again. Then they started to come to us with these ideas of where it is now. I thought, 'Wow, that would be ... what we could do now.,,,he continued, "If we can find a story that we all want to do, we all want to make a film that is in the same kind of tone as the other one and shoot it in the same way as we shot 'Top Gun.'" . Hey guys thanks for checking back with clever movies, I'm your host taitana carrier with an update on 24 via keifer sutherland! . During the FOX panel at the Broadcasting Company Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour in Pasadena this past weekend, Sutherland revealed that the TV series-adapted film is ready to kick off production this spring and that the story will take place six months after the final episode! . He said, "The status on the movie is that, hopefully, we will be shooting the end of April, beginning of May.....I see it as a continuation. The script that we've got right now, which I'm very, very excited about, is relatively a direct continuation. It's within six months from the end of the last episode. We'll see where it goes from there." . Regarding whether the "24" movie will be planned as two-hour film or real time, Sutherland said, "It's two hours, representing 24 hours. The movie is not in real time. It's two-hour representation of a 24-hour day." . Then he was Asked if the original cast members from the TV show are set to return, he answered, "I can't say that." . Now we know that Sutherland is committed to reprise his iconic role as Bauer, but the upcoming "24" film still hasn't locked in a director to tackle the helm. Back in December, it was said that producer Brian Grazer and FOX have eyed five filmmakers since Tony Scott was no longer attached to direct the film but still no confirmation! I'm Tatiana Carrier, and those of you who loved Charles Bronson's 'Death Wish' franchise might be in for a surprise this summer. Joe Carnahan, the director of the already-popular 'The Grey' has been hired to write and direct a remake of 'Death Wish.' The original 1974 film starred Bronson as a man who goes on a vigilante manhunt after his wife and daughter are brutally attacked. The film spawned four sequels over the next twenty years, making Bronson a household name. The new reboot will be produced by 'The Grey' producer Jules Daly and Ridley and Tony Scott's Scott Free Productions. Carnahan previously wrote and directed 'The A-Team' and also directed 'Smokin' Aces.' So do you guys have a newfound 'Death Wish?' Hey movie fans, Tatiana Carrier here with news on the sequel to 1986's Top Gun. The film was a worldwide hit, bringing in $345M and launched star Tom Cruise's career into the stratosphere. Cruise revealed back in December that he would be reuniting with the film's director, Tony Scott and producer Jerry Bruckheimer on a sequel saying, "We never thought that we would do it again. Then they started to come to us with these ideas of where it is now. I thought, 'Wow, that would be ... what we could do now...If we can find a story that we all want to do, we all want to make a film that is in the same kind of tone as the other one and shoot it in the same way as we shot 'Top Gun.'"

Since then, not much on the sequel has been revealed. Until now. Paramount Pictures has confirmed that Peter Craig has been tapped to write the script for the sequel. Craig is best known for writing the 2010 hit The Town starring Ben Affleck and Jeremy Renner. With the hiring of Craig, it's clear that the sequel has become a priority for the studio. In addition to a potential sequel, it was announced back in September that a 3D conversion of the original film would be released sometime this year. No release date has been set, but producer Jerry Bruckheimer recently tweeted out that he, Cruise and director Scott had screened a version of the 3D film, so we're expecting a release date for the film to be announced soon.
