Tony Bennett 'Duets' Tracklist Includes Gaga, Amy Winehouse

The tracklisting for Tony Bennett's Duets 2 album has just come out, and it's a powerhouse list of artists. The record includes everyone from popstars like Lady Gaga, Carrie Underwood and Mariah Carey, to greats like Willie Nelson, Natalie Cole and Aretha Franklin. It's 17 tracks long, and includes a special duet with the late Amy Winehouse, with the proceeds of that particular single going to charity. As for the song selection, Bennett told USA Today in March, "We just tried to figure out what would feel natural for each artist." For example, he recorded a version of The Lady is a Tramp wth Lady Gaga that we simply cannot wait to hear, as we're sure they put their own spin on it. Bennett released his first 'Duets' album in 2006, teaming up with vets like Elton John, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and spent five consecutive weeks in the Top 10. Just a hunch, but we think this follow-up may do even better. Well, Amy Winehouse's parents have decided that they will not be selling their late daughter's home in North London. Instead, they've made very special plans involving it. Mitch and Janis spoke with The Sun newspaper and said they plan on turning her home into the headquarters for a charity they say will focus on quote "Causes close to Amy's heart." The name of the charity will be called the Amy Winehouse Foundation, and her father added, "It could include help for children in trouble, kids suffering health problems, children's hospices and more." He said their main focus right now is making a positive difference. The property Amy owned is very large?a ten room mansion worth a reported $4 million dollars. And it seems the family has already received their first pledge. As we previously reported, Tony Bennett has offered to donate all the royalties from "Body and Soul," his forthcoming duet with the singer, which will appear on his album Duets 2. Hi there, I'm Bridget Daly reporting for ClevverMusic. A snippet of the last known recording of Amy Winehouse has just come out, and even though its less than a minute long, it's absolutely beautiful. She sings with the iconic Tony Bennett for the soon-to-be released album Duets 2 which will come out next month. The track was recorded last March at Abby Road Studios in London, and Amy's voice sounds stronger than ever on the jazzy ballad called Body and Soul. All of the proceeds from the song will go towards a charity that is being set up by Amy's parents. It's almost difficult to listen to this without getting emotional because it's proof of just how talented Amy truly was. How's it going, I'm Bridget Daly for CLevverMusic in Hollywood. As you know Tony Bennett and lady Gaga recently worked together, singing a track for his upcoming album Duets 2. Well Gaga must have charmed the pants off him, because Bennett has given her a huge compliment! Speaking with Billboard, Tony said, "I never met a more talented person in my life. I think she's going to become as big as Elvis Presley." Now keep in mind, Tony Bennett has been around for a couple years, and has worked with countless musicians and artists. So to say Gaga is the most talented person he's ever met?well that's saying something! He had nice words to say about everyone who will appear on the Duets album, including Mariah Carey, John Mayer and the late Amy Winehouse. He said, "I can't tell you how professional every one of them was, and how they worked and memorized and knew what they were going to do. And it shows up on the record, you know? You can hear them performing very well for us." We can't wait to hear it! Especially the Tony-Gaga collab of Lady is a Tramp! It drops on September 20th, which is less than a month away! Thanks for coming back to ClevverTV.  Im Dana Ward here in Beverly Hills and theres definitely been a big stir surrounding American Idol having Miley Cyrus as a guest mentor to its 11 finalists this season.  The reason its such a big deal to some people is because previous show mentors include more experienced music icons, such as Diana Ross, Mariah Carey and Tony Bennett.  So Cyrus dished some constructive criticism to the singers and then she also took to the stage for a little singing of her own. Hi there, I'm Bridget Daly and you're watching ClevverMusic. After much speculation, it's been confirmed that yes there will be an Amy Winehouse tribute at the VMAs this Sunday. MTV announced the news today, adding that Tony Bennett will introduce the special segment. It will include never-before-seen footage from their March recording session together at Abbey Road Studios in London. The session was Winehouse's last, as the duo recorded "Body and Soul" for Bennett's upcoming Duets II album, out Sept. 20. Bennett said in a statement, "It was a thrill to record with Amy Winehouse and when you listen to the recording of 'Body and Soul,' it is a testament to her artistic genius and her brilliance as one of the most honest musicians I have ever known." In addition, MTV has finally also confirmed that the Britney Spears tribute is indeed happening as well. Amy Winehouse like we've never seen her before. A chilling new video has just been released with behind the scenes footage of Amy's recording session with Tony Bennett. Amy sits down for an interview that's so candid and fun that you almost forget about all the problems she was plagued with during her life. She says the first time she met Tony?whom she refers to as "Tone"?was at one of his concerts she took her family to. (Cut to SOT) Amy admitted to loving the song, saying, "It's such a beautifully written song, and it's a song you can do a lot with." She went on to say her and Tony's voices blended perfectly together and it couldn't have been better. (Cut to broll of them singing) The video for the song is coming September 14th, ahead of the release of the full album, September 20th. Should be pretty amazing, and we'd expect that they'll likely include footage from their studio session for the video. We only have wait one more day for the Amy Winehouse Tony Bennett video. That's right, according to MTV, The Body and Soul vid will premiere tomorrow at 6am on all of their channels-MTV, VH1, MTV Hits and mtvU and then repeat on an hourly basis throughout the morning. After that it will be available on MTV.com. And yes, tomorrow does have significance, as it would have been Amy's 28th birthday. The footage will apparently show the her with Bennett as they collaborate in the recording studio. Bennett said of Winehouse, "We had a beautiful time recording together in the studio, and I knew that Amy was very happy with how she performed that day. thought she was absolutely brilliant, and this recording truly captures the essence of her unique artistry. Beginning with her concert announcement, it was revealed this week that Gaga will be headlining a fundraiser at the Hollywood Bowl next month along with Bono and Usher for a Bill Clinton charity event. And don't worry-cuz the event will stream live on Yahoo, so we can all watch it together! Next up, Gaga's book cover for Lady Gaga X Terry Richardson came out, featuring her in a black leather jacket. Inside will be 350 more pages all of Gaga, and it comes out in November. Shifting gears to the many videos of Gaga that surfaced this week, one that caught our attention was the Gaga by Gaultier special where she sat down and basically told the designer anything and everything about her life, including this: The next vid was an interview with E! News, and though we've only seen a snippet, it was long enough for us to notice her shoes that she had made as an ode to her little monsters! Next up, just today, an old school vid of Gaga (roll footage over host) getting inked by Kat Von D has been all over the blogs, and it was from when she was just 22 and before becoming a megastar.
