The Debt hits theaters on August 31st, 2011. Cast: Helen Mirren, Sam Worthington, Jessica Chastain, Ciaran Hinds, Tom Wilkinson, Marton Csokas, Jesper Christensen, Romi Aboulafia The espionage thriller begins in 1997, as shocking news reaches retired Mossad secret agents Rachel (Academy Award winner Helen Mirren) and Stefan (two-time Academy Award nominee Tom Wilkinson) about their former colleague David (Ciaran Hinds of Focus' "Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day"). All three have been venerated for decades by their country because of the mission that they undertook back in 1966, when the trio (portrayed, respectively, by Jessica Chastain [soon to be seen in "The Tree of Life"], Marton Csokas [Universal's upcoming "Dream House"], and Sam Worthington ["Avatar," "Clash of the Titans"]) tracked down Nazi war criminal Vogel (Jesper Christensen of "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace") in East Berlin. At great risk, and at considerable personal cost, the team's mission was accomplished - or was it? The suspense builds in and across two different time periods, with startling action and surprising revelations. The Debt trailer courtesy Focus Features.

Weekend Box Office Wrap-Up: The Debt, Shark Night 3D, Apollo 18
http://bit.ly/clevvermovies - Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us! Hey everyone, I hope you had a fabulous weekend, Im Tatiana carrier with Clevver movies, and I have the results from this past weekends box office numbers! Well the HELP has done it again! Emma Stone, Viola Davis and Octavia spencer have taken over the box office and they refuse to leave! The Help grossed an incredible 19 million in the boxoffice beating out all the new comers this holiday weekend and now has a steady cume of 123.5 million since opening day of August 10th. These ladies have been in the top three every weekend since the flick opened a month ago and we think the girls are here to stay atleast for the next few weekends. Out of the newbies, The Debt surprisingly reigned champ earning 12. 6 in the box office. The Nazi hunting drama stars Helen Mirron, Sam Worthington, Tom Wilkinson, and someone who was in the flick that came in first, Jessica Chastain, who also co-starred in the help. Apollo 18 and Shark Night3D were pretty much head to head. Apollo 18 came in just head of Shark night with 10.7 million this weekend, lower then the expected numbers, but still ok considering the flick had a 5 million dollar production budget and barely any marketing costs. Shark Night 3D which had a bit higher production budget of 20 million, made 10.3 million this past weekend which is right around what was projected for the shark fest flick which placed in 5th just after The Rise of the Planet of the Apes who stood strong in 4th with 10.3 million. Did you guys see any of the top five weekend flicks over the long holiday weekend? Let us know ifyou did and what you thought! Weekend Box Office Wrap-Up: Contagion, Warrior, Bucky Larson
Watch Contagion Trailer http://youtu.be/AGY95dx8wOs?hd=1 http://bit.ly/clevvermovies - Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us! Hey everyone thanks for tuning back into Clevver movies, I'm Tatiana Carrier and Ive got the results from this weekend's box office! As we predicted, Contagion did dominate the box office this weekend! Steven Soderbergs Contagion took in 23.1 million in its opening weekend knocking The Help to 2nd place. Contagion, starring Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, Laurence Fisburne, Kate Winslet and Bryan Cranston, is about as a team of doctors, world health officials and citizens caught up in trying to stop a worldwide viral outbreak. The $60 million pic received a B- CinemaScore, with more than 80% of the audience over the age of 25. The Help has been in 1st place for the past 25 days so we think its ok for the ladies to step aside and let someone else get a little shine. The helps first place domination was the best showing since the 6th sense which was in first for 35 days and still stay strong in the top three earning 8.7 million this weekend with a total of 137.1 so far. Lionsgate's mixed martial arts drama Warrior starring Nick Nolte, Joel Edgerton and Tom was expected to gross a solid 7-8 million in its opening weekend, but actually only brought in about 5.6 million throughtout the weekend. This number still got the flick in the top three, and scored an impressive A on cinema score. WE are thinking through good word of mouth recommendations, the movie should remain strong for the next couple of weeks. As we suspected, Focus Features and Miramax's thriller The Debt starring Helen mirron, Sam Worthington and Tom Wilkinson continued to impress in its second weekend, placing No. 4 and grossing an estimated $4.9 million for a cume of $22 million. The last of the openers, Bucky Larson: Born to be a Star, was precisely that...the r rated comedy produced by Adam Sandler's Happy Madison, completely bombed, opening to only $1.5 million from 1,500 theaters to fall outside of the top 10---one of the worst studio openings in recent times. On the bright side, if there is one, the flick earned a B on Cinema score. So tell us, did you guys see any of these openers? If you did tell us what you thought by commenting below and while your at it be sure to subscribe to our channel so that you can stay up to date on all your movie news!
