Tom Cruise Talks Top Gun 2! Hey everyone, thanks again for watching clevver movies, Im your host Tatiana carrier with the details about what top gun star tom cruise has to say about a sequel! . Cruise recently spoke to MTV and confirmed that he was in fact involved in the top gun sequel by saying, "we are working on it!" . He also went on to reveal that he didn't think that Christopher McQuarrie, who was previously hired to write the script for the sequel, may not have time. HE said, "I don't think Chris [McQuarrie] is going to write it. Chris is directing 'One Shot' right now, which I'm acting in. We've got to go back in January and finish it," . And regarding reuniting with director Tony Scott and producer Jerry Bruckheimer for the possible sequel, Cruise said "Tony and I and Jerry, we never thought that we would do it again. Then they started to come to us with these ideas of where it is now. I thought, 'Wow, that would be ... what we could do now.,,,he continued, "If we can find a story that we all want to do, we all want to make a film that is in the same kind of tone as the other one and shoot it in the same way as we shot 'Top Gun.'" .
