In less than 24 hours, two of the most anticipated roles for The Hunger Games have been filled! Lionsgate just announced via Twitter, how cool is that, that Toby Jones will be delivering those famous phrases as the arena announcer Claudius Templesmith. Toby is no stranger to best selling books-turned-major movie franchises as he's the voice of the adorable Dobby in Harry Potter. And what may be the most shocking casting news yet of the star-studded Hunger Games... Katniss' stylist will be played by Lenny Kravitz, yes he will be the one to wear Cinna's gold eyeliner, which we think the rocker will have no problem, well, rocking While he may be a relative acting newcomer, The Hunger Games' director Gary Ross said he was quote --knocked out- by Lenny's performance in Precious- and that's what got him the gig. According to a release issued by lionsgate, principal photography in North Carolina on the film adaptation of the Suzanne Collins novel of the same name is completed!!! The 84-day shoot for The Hunger Games started on May 23, and starred Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth in lead roles, alongside Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Wes Bentleyand Toby Jones. The studio's first movie in the trilogy of adaptations from Suzanne Collins' novels is set for theatrical release March 23, 2012 and lionsgate is pretty sure this will be the start of a very lucrative franchise! In addition to the role played by the Grammy winner, it just got announced -- thank you Deadline for the deets - that Toby Jones is set to be the narrator of the Hunger Games, opposite Stanley Tucci's host character. We can't wait to see them work together, especially since they both worked on Captain America recently.
