Universal Pictures Drops Hasbro's 'Clue' Movie

Hey guys, thanks for checking back with clevver movies, Im Tatiana carrier and Ive got the latest on the CLUE game gone movie. Its looking like the game will remain, just that as Universal has DROPPED the prospect of Taking the Hasbro game to the big screen. According to deadline, Universal Pictures has quietly dropped out of Clue, one of the seven Hasbro games properties the studio contracted to make into movies in a ground-breaking six-year exclusive deal signed in 2008. Clue becomes the third project out of seven to be dropped by Universal ---- Monopoly and Magic, The Gathering were also kicked to the curb. Hasbro will STILL be funding the development of the CLUE project and director Gore Verbinski is still planning to direct the movie that will keep the murder mystery spirit of the board game however in this version, they will take the mystery out of the mansion and take it GLOBAL! Also, this may have been before your time but there was a 1985 'Clue' movie starring Tim Curry and Christopher Lloyd that featured multiple endings, so its been done before and we are confident that Hasbro will figure it out one way or another!
