Quelques minutes avant un set au Social Club de Paris, à l'occasion de la Full Moon Party organisée par Singha Beer, 3èmeGauche TV a rencontré pour vous Le célèbre dj canadien ... J'ai nommé TIGA.

TIGA James Sontag est né en 1974 à Montréal. Après des études sérieuses et un diplôme obtenu à la renommée Selwyn House School, il s'intéresse de près aux musiques électroniques et aux rave parties, alors peu populaires au Québec à la fin des années 1980. C'est de cette passion que Tiga instaure le Solstice, qui restera célèbre pour avoir été la première soirée rave du Québec en 1993. Tiga s'implique aussi dans la création de SONA à Montréal, un club spécialement conçu pour les afters de soirées electro. En 1994, Tiga ouvre sa propre boutique de disques baptisée DNA Records, et c'est quatre ans plus tard, en 1998, qu'il fonde son propre label, Turbo Recordings.

Tiga est certainement l'une des figures electro les plus novatrices depuis le début des années 2000. De ses célèbres remixes (pour Felix Da Housecat, Peaches, Tomas Andersson ou Scissor Sisters) à la création de son label (Turbo Recordings) en passant par ses albums plus personnels (Sexor en 2006 et Ciao en 2009).. Tiga est sans conteste l'un des piliers des musiques électroniques.

Il fait partie de la génération d'artistes qui marquent fortement un retour à la New Wave dans la musique électronique, genre musical dont il était d'ailleurs fan au cours des années 80. Il cite souvent comme principale influence des groupes de New Wave (New Order, Depeche Mode...) et les icones glam (David Bowie notamment). Il représente aussi cette nouvelle génération de Dj, se voulant populaire au dela de derrière les platines, faisant attention à son look, maquillé pour ses séances photos, métrosexuel en puissance.

Milton Keynes - 6th April, 2011 - International publisher 505 Games and developer Rebellion today announced the long-awaited console sequel to third person tactical WWII shooter, with Sniper Elite V2.

Sniper Elite V2 will be a modern take on the critically and publically acclaimed classic Sniper Elite for the current generation of consoles -- revitalising a genre all of its own when it is released in 2012.

Released in 2005, Sniper Elite saw gamers playing an American OSS secret agent disguised as a German sniper in Berlin during the final days of World War II.

It earned considerable public and critical applause with its blend of stealth action - which emphasised patience and cunning over reflexes alone - culminating in being awarded 'Best PC/Console Game' at the TIGA awards 2005.

"It's very exciting to be working with one of the new breed of major publishers like 505 Games," said Jason Kingsley, CEO of Rebellion. "Sniper Elite was an important, genre-defining property and we're hoping to have even greater success by teaming up with the talented guys at 505."
