Robots by Sleepercurve
Picture a cage match between The Prodigy, Mansun and Dépêche Mode against Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath and Interpol. Throw in a dash of Muse, Soundgarden and the Smashing Pumpkins and stage the whole thing on a flashing dance floor on board a future spaceship and you'll start to get an idea of Sleepercurve's sound. Having already supported the likes of Captain, The Rumble Strips, The Dykeenies, My Passion, Pete and the Pirates, Das Pop, and rocked the stage at the Download Festival, The Camden Crawl, Liverpool Sound City and Underage Festival, the trio have already amassed a loyal fan base. The boys are back with new single Robots (16th November) - a glorious sonic collision of their many extensive influences all packed together to make one magnificent slab of electro synth rock! With an equally awesome video to match, directed by Matt Simmonds (Bloc Party, The Manic Street Preachers, Rakes and Captain), many are tipping the band as one to watch.

Jonathan Melvoin Tribute
I felt compelled to make this to tribute because I am a Smashing Pumpkins fan...and I had a dream last night where Jonathan was singing this song. :) I love The Smashing Pumpkins and may Jonathan Melvoin forever rest in peace.

The Vampire Diaries Soundtrack Preview
http://Facebook.com/ClevverTV - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverTV - Follow Us! What's up with Vampires and their great taste in music? Your music scene hook up in our next alert on ClevverTV. Hello friends, what's happening. I'm Joslyn Davis with news we can all get a little excited about. Not only is Vampire Diaries turning things up on TV screens, the show is also busting out some great music. In fact, a full soundtrack is set to hit stores on October 12th. Similar to the Twilight franchise and a bunch of other shows on the CW network, TVD is making a name for itself playing new music that lots of us haven't been introduced to before. One of the most talked about tracks is a single called "Obsession" that comes to us from Sky Ferreira, and it a twist there are also two instrumental tracks - meaning NO singing - on the packed disc. Other top artists that you music junkies will be excited to hear are rounding out the 16 song soundtrack include the Smashing Pumpkins - you can never go wrong with them - the Silversun Pickups, Goldfrapp and Placebo. And that's just a sampling of what's to come - but in my opinion this is a must-listen. MTV says that the Vampire Diaries music release is "able to distance itself from the Twilight soundtrack very well...it's electro-tinged pop with a healthy dose of singer-songwriter acoustic guitars and piano on the side." Sounds like there's a little something for everyone. But the question remains, will you buy the soundtrack come October? Let us know right here. Thanks so much for watching ClevverTV and your ultimate Vampire Diaries news source. Make sure to subscribe to our channel on youtube so you're always in the know. I'm Joslyn Davis, see you next time!
Victoria Justice on 'Footloose' Soundtrack
http://Facebook.com/ClevverTV - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverTV - Follow Us! Hey everyone! Welcome to ClevverTV. Dana Ward here coming at you from our Hollywood headquarters and we've got the official soundtrack details for the upcoming film remake, Footloose. It's quite the musical listing, with artists like Blake Shelton, Zac Brown, Cee Lo Green and The Smashing Pumpkins singing for the 12-track disc. We gotta give some props to Victoria Justice for also making the cut. In fact, she's not just featured but she's actually taking a main role. Victoria -- along with Hunter Hayes -- recorded a song called Almost Paradise, which is being credited as the Footloose love theme. If you saw the original movie from back in the day, you'd know that this track was on that soundtrack, or maybe you've just heard the really recognizable song before! Keep in mind that this soundtrack includes 4 classic hits from the 1980s flick in addition to 8 new songs. So once again, congratulations to Victoria Justice for grabbing up a musical spot on the new Footloose soundtrack. If you want more news stories just like this one, be sure to hit us up at facebook.com/clevvertv. I'm Dana Ward and thanks again for checking out the show.
PETER PIEK
BALCONYTV 20/07/2009

LAYLA ANNA-LEE with PETER PIEK

Peter Piek is a German painter, author, and songwriter. (mt/tg) Peter Piek did not exist between 2001 and 2006 this is what his self-written biography tells us. There used to be several Peters. Split into multiple partial personalities? as he remarks it laconically. He abandonded this state in 2006 when he reunited the remaining partial personalities. During this time he was studying Fine Art and Painting, when founded the artist group Malfront, wrote two books about his vision of painting. His quintessence: Painting just starts primarily with painting! Critics get rather complicated when they talk about Peter Piek as painter, using words like Being, the Physically compound consistency of the canvas and the rhythmic breathing which is synthesised into an interwoven interaction. One stereotype is not enough. In Biel (Switzerland) however, Peter Piek performes at a concert, since he is actually a songwriter and multi-instrument player, as well. He may have merged his partial personalities into one, but for artists like Peter Piek one art form is not enough for him to articulate. Therefore, his 'Say Yes To Peter Piek' tour stops on Thursday at AJZ Gaskessel in Biel. If you try describe Peter Piek's music, you might classify it as Independent Rock, although it would hardly fit as this is not quite correct. The term Pop would not come close to his ambition for art, as his Songs are too ecclectic and complex. Peter Piek's voice is unusual. He sings in a high pitch, but not in head voice. It sounds similiar to Neil Young and Sigur Ros. The shows are always intensive, though. In front of a full club, the nearly 6.5 feet frontman Peter Piek screams out his love to life, throws himself with his guitar in sheer ecstasy to the ground using distorted chords to sob his weltschmerz through the sound system. Piek's archetypes must be Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, and the Smashing Pumpkins. Featuring his band the Colours, Peter Piek is an artist who tries to merge painting and music. His band is named The Colours and a fan wrote about his last album 'Say Hello To Peter Piek' 'Everybody who knows his paintings thinks: They are like music. Contrariwuse, you could suppose his music is like colourful paintings. There's a colourful evening waiting on us in Biel. It remains to hope that Peter Piek still continues unifying his partial personalities.
