Katy Perry has another honor to add to her mantle! Hey California Dreamers, you're tuned in to ClevverMusic. Katy Parry was named 'Artist of the Year' at last night's NARM Music Business Association Awards dinner party at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
NARM is the National Association of Recording Merchandisers, and is the leading trade association for music retailers. NARM President Jim Donio presented Katy with the trophy and said, "Katy's music was absolutely everywhere over the past year, and her dominance of the singles charts is a nearly unprecedented accomplishment."
We couldn't agree, there is no artist like Ms. Katy out right now, and her dominance is hard earned. Katy showed up to the event in a darker ensemble than usual, including her latest purple hair, dark lipstick, and a black mesh cutout dress.
