RENO BO

BROUGHT TO YOU IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE RHYTHM BUILDING at MUSIC ROW in NASHVILLE TENNESSEE and THERECORDSHOPNASHVILLE.COM

Nashville based, New York born songwriter Reno Bo will be on tour throughout 2010 supporting his debut album Happenings And Other Things, which will see its official release on February 9, 2010. Before his recent move to Nashville, Bo spent the past several years on the road playing bass with fellow New Yorkers Albert Hammond Jr (The Strokes) and The Mooney Suzuki. "Happenings And Other Things" is a soulful blend of Beatles / Big Star rock with shades of Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin and Neil Young. The album features the songs "There's A Light," "I See Stars," "Baby You're Not Feelin' Me Tonight" and "Shake Me Up" - the latter track produced by Fountains Of Wayne main man Adam Schlesinger (Stacys Mom, That Thing You Do.) If you pause your DVD player quick enough, he can be spotted playing with The Mooney Suzuki in DreamWorks Pictures war satire Tropic Thunder, starring Jack Black, Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. Listen to "Happenings And Other Things" at www.renobo.com

PRESENTED BY COLBY WRIGHT

John McNicholas is a singer/songwriter based in Atlanta, GA. John has honed his writing talents by writing, performing and releasing albums with alternative favorites Spiller, Lie, Misfortune 500 and most recently performing with indie-darlings Honeyrider, Dank and Sparkys Nightmare.

He considers himself and unlikely songwriter in that his songs are character sketches of his life and the lives of people and friends around him. He doesnt so much write, as he observes and records his thoughts with music. His songs can be as awkwardly personal as those by Juliana Hatfield, as tongue-in-cheek as those by Fountains of Wayne and Ben Folds and as vivid and descriptive as those by Pete Yorn and Dean Wareham (Luna).

John McNicholas, the band, mines a sound nestled somewhere between Fountains of Wayne, the Wallflowers, Ryan Adams and Pete Yorn. John has performed at WMNFs Tropical Heatwave, IPO New York, the In the Raw concert series and has have opened shows for a number of diverse artists like Marilyn Manson, Fastball, Cyndi Lauper, Superchunk, Patti Smith, the Mooney Suzuki and many others.
