Push Play Taking A Break
http://Facebook.com/ClevverTV - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverTV - Follow Us! Just when Push Play was really taking off, we're hearing that they're taking a break! So what's the deal with this story? We'll give you all the scoop up next! Welcome back to ClevverTV. I'm your host Joslyn Davis with a music alert that's a bit of a buzz kill. It's true, Long Island band Push Play is in fact taking a break to pursue what their record label is calling "personal goals." I know what a lot of you all are thinking; Usually when a band says they're taking a break, they never get back together. Remember N*Sync? Yeah, they still haven't returned from their break and we don't anticipate that happening anytime soon. But other groups like the Backstreet Boys, Blink 182, and even classic rockers, The Eagles have reunited to go on tour after prolonged breaks, so let's not get too upset just quite yet. Apparently Nick, Steve and Derek will be going to college and CJ will pursue a solo career. But before their break official begins, die-hard fans can still see them perform together at least a few more times in February at the School of Rock and the Pop Con Music Festival. So are you guys totally bummin about Push Play hitting the pause button on their career? Or do you think CJ's solo career will be way bigger in the long run. We want your thoughts on this whole thing in the comments section. Stick with ClevverTV for constant Music updates. Follow us on twitter - that's @ClevverTV to really stay in the know. I'm Joslyn Davis, thanks for watching!

Presented by Kevin

Left at the robot are a five piece alternative rock band with etchings of anti establishment stoner folk.
The Robot was formed in Brighton in early 2010 and has gone from strength to strength since its inception. They have supported some great artists including the outstanding Beggar Joe and more recentlty they have done some live videos (recorded through an SSL G series console:) for Spotify which will be online for all to see soon!
In the early days the writing process mainly consisted of Jeremy, Alexi and Owen getting together with a few acoustics, ideas and tins of red stripe, then jamming til something sounded good and laying down the tracks in one of their home studios. However with the recent addition of Rich on bass and Mark on drums, that process has moved to the rehearsal room with a full band set up and the tracks are taking a somewhat different shape.
Alexi's voice has been likened to that of Jim Morrison and David Gray. Another major influence is Ben Harper, however he maintains an untainted originality which is unique to the Robot's style. Jeremy's major infleunces are Red Hot Chilli Peppers(in the 90's) and Oasis, with a bit of Hendrix and Dylan. Owen was raised on a staple diet of Jackson Browne and the Eagles. Massive Jose Gonzales fan. Rich is die hard Nirvana and Bob Marley. Loves his festivals and Radiohead too. Anything ull do. Marks a nut job but a fucking immense drummer. Hes an old boy but with that age comes an unparralled wisdom that adds a grounded calm to the overall sound environment...

The entirety of the live recording done for Spotify is available for streaming so feel free to listen and let your thoughts be known.
