Lady Gaga's South Korea kickoff concert getting shut down? Hey guys, you're watching ClevverMusic. NYC native Lady Gaga is currently in South Korea, prepping for the debut concert off her new global 'Born This Way Ball' tour, kicking off April 27. Meanwhile, conservative Christians in South Korea are doing what they can to make sure that the show doesn't happen, Contact Music reports. Mother Monster has picked Seoul, South Korea, to launch her latest world tour, and her critic's claim she's promoting, "unhealthy sexual culture" through "lewd lyrics and performance."
These words come straight from posters the Alliance for Sound Culture in Sexuality has hung around the city. Government officials have already barred fans under the age of 18 from attending the show, but that wasn't enough. Now, these crusaders are hoping to go mile further and shut it down completely.
"We will pray to God that the concert will not be realized so that homosexuality and pornography will not spread around the country," said Kang Ju-Hyun, an activist who organized a large prayer session over the weekend.
Lady Gaga has yet to address the latest criticism building against her, and we hope she doesn't let her Little Monsters down by cancelling the show. On Saturday, she tweeted her excitement about the opening concert, "So happy!" she tweeted. "The stage is more than I could dream for, time to kill the dance floor. Off to rehearsal." Sounds to us like Little Monsters in South Korea have nothing to be afraid of.
