ClevverTV has the recap on last night's "1912" episode of the Vampire Diaires and boy oh boy was it a doozy. Aside from getting a peek at Damon and Stefan's reunion in 1912 in a fun flashback, the primary highlight in this episode was finally figuring out who's been terrorizing the Mystic Falls town council. In a very strange twist, we learned at the end of last night's episode that the serial killer is Alaric. Alaric, who has been wearing one of Gilbert rings for quite a while, seems to finally be feeling some of the consequences of dying and coming back to life multiple times. With some research and sleuthing done by Elena, Matt and Dr. Fell, the team figures out that Alaric has been blacking out and going on murderous rampages which he has zero recollection of. Dr. Fell has apparently been trying to protect Alaric from the police, but in the teaser for next week's episode, it looks like she could be his next targeted victim. And in a larger scale turn of events, we did recently learn that Matthew Davis, the actor who plays Alaric, actually booked another TV show, so perhaps this really could be the end of Alaric's run on the show. How do you guys feel about Ric being the serial killer and moreover, what do you think about Matthew Davis potentially leaving Vampire Diaires for good? Now, we know that there has not been a confirmation of another Delaurentis sister on the show as of yet, however, in the Halloween episode, there was a very clear photo of a Allison doppelganger in her bedroom.
