According to our friends over at the hollywood reporter, DC Entertainment is releasing graphic novels in print and digitally based on Stieg Larsson's Millennium trilogy. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo will be released by the company's Vertigo imprint in 2012, with sequel The Girl Who Played With Fire following in 2013 and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest in 2014. The announcement comes ahead of the the Frankfurt Book Fair and New York Comic-Con. Dan DiDio, co-publisher of DC Entertainment had this to say, "The intricate characters and stories Larsson created in the Millennium Trilogy are a perfect match for the graphic novel format, where we can bring Lisbeth Salander to life in entirely new, visually compelling ways It's a distinct honor to work on a story that is already so popular with millions of readers around the world." Steig brother Joakim Larsson also had some feedback on the big announcement he said,"Stieg always liked comics and it will be exciting to see the unforgettable characters he created come to life on the comics page," says Stieg's brother Joakim Larsson. Thanks to our friends at the Hollywood reporter, weve just learned that thirty-five minutes worth of music from the upcoming David Fincher film has hit the web...and best of all, it wont cost us fans a dime! . It goes without saying that this is HUGE news for those of us waiting for this highly anticipated alubm! The team behind the Academy Award-winning score for The Social Network has been working on the 39-song soundtrack for the David Fincher adaptation of Stieg Larsson's novel for more than a year. The six tracks made available (35 minutes in total) give a sense of the mood that will run rampant in the film's score. . Heres a quote from Trent Reznor who did the score for dragon tattoo said, "We laughed, we cried, we lost our minds and in the process made some of the most beautiful and disturbing music of our careers...The result is a sprawing three-hour opus that I am happy to announce is available for pre-order right now for as low as $11.99. The full release will be available in one week - December 9th." . Reznor also mentioned that he and Atticus Ross scored the eight-minute trailer "separately from the film." . STORY: The cast of the American version of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" have hit the States to celebrate the opening of their new film.
Actors Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara hit the red carpet in New York to promote the movie based on Swedish author Stieg Larsson's first novel in the collection of The Millennium Trilogy.
Tales of avenging sexual violence against women and mystery play out in the movie that stars Craig as a journalist trying to crack the case of a missing woman. Newcomer Rooney Mara plays Lisbeth Salander, a computer hacker who tries to help Craig's character, Mikael Blomkvist, solve the mystery.
Craig, who first read the book when it came out, has always been a fan of the story.
Mara said the popularity of the books and her character Lisbeth didn't intimidate her from taking the role.
On the red carpet British actress Joely Richardson, who plays Anita Vanger in the movie, admitted that the books aren't normally what she reads, but understands the hype surrounding the publications.
For acting veteran Christopher Plummer, the book was all he needed in order to get into character.
The movie was shot on location in Stockholm and in the Swedish countryside, which gave Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard a welcomed and added responsibility.
Before heading into the screening of the film, Mara confessed that she hadn't seen the movie yet, saying that she would prefer to see the film while relaxed and free of pressure.
"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" opens in the U.S. on December 14.

'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' Premieres in NYC
The highly anticipated film that stars Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, is an adaptation of Stieg Larsson's book- an international best seller, set in Sweden.

?I'm a huge fan of the book, and it's an unbelievably great story,? said Actor, Anthony Edwards as he walked the carpet.

Journalist Mikael Blomkvist, played by Daniel Craig is searching for a woman who has been missing for over forty years. Lisbeth Salander, a computer hacker played by Mara, assists him in the thrilling search.

?Rooney Mara, the first day she came on stage I saw that fierce, fire inside her,? says cast member Stellan Skarsgard.

That fire did not go unnoticed, just hours before the premiere, Mara was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in the film.

The break out star may play a computer hacker, covered in tattoos, but Mara wowed on the carpet in a cutout LBD, which seems to be her signature look.
