The Grammys earn show-stopping viewer numbers.  Stay tuned for the performance recap.   Hi guys.  Welcome back to Clevver TV.  Im your host Dana Ward with the 2010 Grammy recap.   This years music awards show received the biggest audience since 2004, with an impressive 25.8 million average primetime viewership, and many people are linking it to the back-to-back and often times collaborative live acts.   The night started strong with a memorable Lady Gaga performance.  After quite the introduction, Gaga sang and danced her way through some of her tracks, and Elton John joined her for a piano duet.  Poker Face, Speechless and Your Song got featured.  Plus, I gotta mention that the sparkly green monster-esque costume for LG was frighteningly fabulous and Elton John is quite a good sport for following suit with bedazzled sunglasses and an ash-filled face.    Up next on the docket, we got to see Beyonce get down and dirty with If I Were a Boy as well as a cover of Alanis Morissettes You Oughta Know, and Pink impressed the audience with her Cirque de Soleil moves in the air while performing Glitter in the Air.   Green Day rocked out 21 Guns with a Broadway chorus, Black Eyed Peas had a good night with a robotic theme and Jamie Foxx did an opera-costumed version of his Blame It.   And yet another performance team-up between a now artist and a legendary musician Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks sang some of their favorites, including You Belong With Me as well as another segment with the Zac Brown Band and Leon Russell.  Lady Antebellum beautifully performed Need You Now, Bon Jovi rocked a trio of songs, plus we got to see Eminem back on stage, as well as Drake, Lil Wayne, Travis Barker, Mary J. Blige and Dave Matthews Band.   Plus, we must mention the 3-D Michael Jackson tribute performance with Earth Song, featuring Celine Dion, Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood and Smokey Robinson.    It certainly was a music-packed night and there was even more to celebrate than we mentioned.  Which Grammy performance was your absolute favorite?  Tweet us @clevvertv.  Im Dana Ward.  Thanks for watching the show.
Taylor Swift Grammy Performance Drama
http://Facebook.com/ClevverTV - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverTV - Follow Us! Taylor Swift is the reigning princess of the music world, but it seems as though there might be a little bit of drama raining down on her parade. ClevverTV breaks it down up next! Hey guys, I'm Joslyn Davis for ClevverTV. Taylor Swift proved once again that she is the girl of the year when she took home four Grammys last week. She also fulfilled one of her own real-life fairy tales when she performed at the show with iconic singer Stevie Nicks. But of course, like we all know, hater are always looking for an opportunity to ruin a special moment, and in this case, Taylor's performance with Stevie Nicks was that special moment. Follow the Grammy performance, critics of the duet were aplenty - saying that Taylor's performance was less than stellar. The CEO of Taylor's label, Scott Borchetta, quickly came to her defense saying that there were some issues with sound and that moreover, Swifty's performance was "not 'American Idol.' This [was] not a competition of getting up and seeing who can sing the highest note. This is about a true artist and writer and communicator. It's not about the technically perfect performance." So, while it was nice for Taylor's label to totally have her back on all of the post-grammy backlash, but the whole American Idol reference opened a whole new can of worms. Kelly Clarkson, who spoke out in very strong support of Swifty after the Kanye incident, was extremely offended by the comments of Swift's label's exec. Clarkson hit her own blog to say that while she understands that Borchetta was just trying to defend his artist, she thinks he also might see why it's upsetting to hear about his attack on the show that made her a household name. She defended her own talent saying that her AI cast-mates and herself not only HIT the high notes, they also generally hit the right notes as well. Plus, Clarkson totally gets that every artist has a bad night now and then, but she says that throwing the blame on American Idol won't make the situation any better. Wow, so talk about a bigtime debacle! So here's what we want to know from you guys? Number one, What's your take on Taylor Swift's grammy performance? And number 2, do you think Kelly Clarkson has reason to be angry over the label exec's comments? We want your thoughts right here! Make sure to subscribe to ClevverTV if you want constant music scoop. I'm Joslyn Davis in Beverly Hills, thanks for making us your choice for entertainment news!
