Teen Choice Awards 2009 Recap
We know you've been waiting for this. We've got the Teen Choice Awards Recap. http://Twitter.com/ClevverTV Here at the Clevver TV studio, I'm Dana Ward and we're reviewing some of the standout moments from this year's TCAs! Headlining and hosting the awards show, the Jonas Brothers intermixed the winner announcements with jokes, introductions and a fan-hugging contest. But the common thread throughout was a game introduced by Jordin Sparks: Dare the Jonas Brothers. Yep, we even saw Mike Tyson cut Joe Jonas' long dreamy hair, as requested via video from a fan. So, was that fake or what? His hair was totally perfect for the rest of the show! Youtube sensation FRED had a couple behind-the-scenes clips taking us to and from commercials, including touring us through the dressing rooms, warming up with Miley Cyrus and accepting his TCA! Some of the performances included Sean Kingston heating up the stage with a dance crew for his 'Fire Burning' song, the Black Eyed Peas funking out in the air with wires for their chart-topping 'I've Got a Feeling', and of course, the 5-TCA-winning Jonas Brothers rocked out to 'Much Better'. The Miley Cyrus' 'Party in the USA' performance with its the ice cream cart "addition" got a lot of people talking. It's being said that the Disney star appeared to be dancing on a stripper pole. I gotta to know, what did it look like to you guys?? We definitely have to give this girl some props though because she took home about a million choice awards - no joke! What about when Miley honored Britney Spears as the Ultimate Choice - some are saying the Britster dissed Cyrus by not acknowledging her presence - what do you think happened? The Twilight crew also did pretty amazing with the awards - with the audience going crazy over these guys. And a brand new category, the Twit Award - went to Ellen Degeneres for her tweet about garbanzo beans. We also caught a now-blonde Kim Kardashian - how do you feel about her new locks? And finally, can we talk about Dane Cook's joke about Vanessa Hudgens and her recently released - yet so-2-years-ago - nude photos?!? What did you guys think about that? Was it totally inappropriate or rightly deserved? I don't know about you but I think anyone would feel bad for Vanessa being called out in front of so many people - and TEENS, at that... I mean, she has to know what she did was wrong and would probably do anything to take it back... but it just shows that you have to be very careful what you put on the internet! That being said, I think Dane should have left that naked thing OUT of his skit. If he thought it was such a great joke maybe he should have waited for the MTV VMA's which is always open game for making fun of the celebs, but maybe he couldn't resist trying to get some pub for hist fledging career? Now we're all incredibly relieved that Sean Kingston is recuperating well after his life-threatening jetski accident Memorial Day Weekend. And now he's speaking out about his future career plans. Sean is currently back home recovering, and tells friends and family he intends on heading back into the studiovery soon, but is adamant about waiting until he's quote "100 percent healthy." According to TMZ, Kingston has to undergo a strict physical therapy program for his wrist, which could take several weeks. Doctors expect Kingston will make a full recovery within the next six months. For those of you guys who follow Sean on Twitter you may have noticed that he's been making quite a few shoutouts to the big man upstairs lately! He's been writing things like God Bless, Don't forget to pray, keep God first in everything, things like that. It's pretty obvious this accident has woken him up and changed him. I'm Joslyn Davis and thanks to scoop straight from the singer and his team, we've learned that J-B's upcoming Christmas album will be unlike almost any others out there because it will consist of all original music. Justin's manager Scooter Braun tweeted out that the release is amazing and he added that it might be the best album yet. He then revealed that all of the songs are originals and in his opinion, soon to be classics. Scooter noted that everyone he plays the new songs for is blown away. Justin has also recently collaborated with both Taylor Swift and Sean Kingston. No word on whether or not we will be hearing any duets on his Christmas release, but a few weeks back the teen singer did say that he was putting the finishing touches on the holiday album and that it would be done soon. Keep in mind that this is the date that had already been rumored to be the date. As far as what you can expect, we hear that title is set to be Under The Misletoe and it should have collaborations with Boyz II Men, Band Perry, Sean Kingston and maybe even Taylor Swift. It's also being rumored that Justin will have an epic track with his mentor Usher.
