The Flash To Be Next DC Movie Franchise?

The flash movie is NOT dead and we have the details.
it's been more than a year since the last time fans heard about "The Flash" movie project. And you fanboys have been questioning whether or not the superhero film is still in the works...now we may have an answer to your questions!
screenwriter Dan Mazeau has broken the good news that the project is not dead yet. The "Wrath of the Titans" scribe confirmed that Warner Bros.Pictures is still actively developing the big screen take on the DC Comics' character.
He said, "I think Warner Bros. is finalizing their strategy of how they want to roll out their DC superheroes, and obviously they've got Batman in an incredibly great place, and Green Lantern, I think, performed okay...I think they probably would have liked it to have done better, but yeah, there is still a whole lot of excitement for the DC universe, and I know The Flash is very high on the list."
So why is the flash taking so long to get underway, well, Mazeau said, "It's like anything, though. It has to come together with the right cast. It has to come together with the right director and sort of the right moment, and so they're trying to push the rock up the hill...hopefully there will be some news soon, but right now I can't really say anything else."
Warner Bros. has made it clear that a Justice League movie is a priority for the studio, especially with the incredible buzz behind Marvel's The Avengers. The Flash seems a likely next step for a movie in order to achieve that goal.
