I'm Dana Ward in Hollywood at today on ClevverTV we're covering the always stylish Taylor Swift and her fashion choice for the Costume Institute Gala. This is a major meeting of couture creativity and the star chose to wear a peach-infused nude colored gown with a black lace overlay throughout the dress among black cascades of fabric intermixed with the skirted train area. The one-shoulder gown by J. Mendel was definitely a show stopper for the annual New York City red carpet, and Taylor opted to wear her signature bold red lip and cat-like madeup eyes. The singer also wore her hair in a classic updo, really keeping much of the focus on her face and the designer dress. Keep in mind that this year's event paid tribute to the late Alexander McQueen as the subject of the fashion-forward Savage Beauty exhibit. Here's a look at what's coming from them in 2012. . Hey guys, you're tuned in to ClevverMovies, your source for all things movie news. I'm Tatiana Carrier, and we've got the breakdown on the newest films to be released by Universal this year. Since it is their 100th anniversary, we'll expect that all their new movies will be bigger and badder than ever before. Here's a look. First up is Contraband, coming out this Friday. Mark Whalberg leads this fast-paced thriller as a man trying to leave the smuggling world behind with one last run. Big Miracle stars Drew Barrymore and John Krasinski in the true story of whale lovers joined by rival world forces to save a family of gray whales trapped in the Arctic. Look for this film Feb. 3. On Feb. 10, Denzel Washington returns to the screen in Safe House as a dangerous renegade from the CIA, joined by rookie operative Ryan Reynolds as they try to stay alive long enough to uncover who wants them dead. Dr. Suess' The Lorax is brought to life in 3D-CGI Mar. 2, featuring the voices of Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, and Taylor Swift. American Pie returns in American Reunion on Apr. 6. The characters we all love are back for their high school reunion. Jason Segel and Judd Apatow reunite for The Five-Year Engagement, a story of love that picks up where most rom-coms leave off, in which Segel and Emily Blunt's engagement keeps getting tripped up on the way to the aisle. This film is due out Apr. 27 Alexander Skarsgard, Rhianna, and Liam Neeson star in Battleship, an epic battle for Earth across the seas, land, and skies. Based on the classic board game, this film hits theaters May 18. On June 1, Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron star in Snow White and the Huntsman, based on the classic fairy tale with the twist that Snow White is trained in the art of war. Chris Hemsworth co-stars. Seth MacFarlane hits the big screen for the first time July 13th as the writer, director, and voice star of Ted, Mark Whalberg's favorite childhood teddy bear who won't leave his side. The Bourne Legacy continues the world of Robert Ludlum's novels with a new operative played by Jeremy Renner, due out Aug. 3. Rachel Weisz and Edward Norton co-star. Oct. 7 brings us Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston in Wanderlust, a comedy about a couple who leave the big city and join a freewheeling community populated by characters who embrace a different way of looking at life. Sept. 28 you can check out Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson in Savages, the story of two pot growers who face off against the Mexican drug cartel who kidnapped their shared girlfriend, played by Blake Lively. The film also stars Benicio del Toro, Salma Hayeck, and John Travolta. Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, and Amanda Seyfried star. Hello ClevverTV people! I'm your host Dana Ward here in Hollywood and we got official word on who the big role of Carrie Bradshaw has gone to. Of course, there were rumors swirling around town that a handful of stars, like Miley Cyrus or Blake Lively might play the main character based on the Sex and the City book series. It's official via our friends at TV Guide that AnnaSophia Robb is set for the role. Of course, while perhaps a sequel movie is in the works, right now we're talking about a tv series. Yep, it's locked in that the CW is taking on a pilot. Liquid Comics will release graphic novel Dinosaurs Vs. Aliens this summer based on an original story by Men In Black director Barry Sonnenfeld who worked closely on the project with comic book creator Grant Morrison.
For those of you not familiar, the story for Dinosaurs Vs. Aliens is based on a secret world war battle that was never recorded in history books. When an alien invasion attacks Earth in the age of the dinosaurs, our planet's only saviors are the savage prehistoric beasts which are much more intelligent than humanity has ever imagined.
Something else pretty cool----in addition to the graphic novel, the project will also launch as an interactive digital app and E-Book. To kick off the launch of Dinosaurs Vs. Aliens, Liquid will first release over 50,000 free preview editions of the book through comic book shops nationwide as part of the comic industry's annual "Free Comic Book Day" event on May 5th. Pretty snazzy!
