Now I know you're all excited for tonight's episode entitled Mash-Up, and you should be, since the tracklisting is pretty epic. As we reported last week, Santana and Mercedes get to shine in this episode as they lead the Troubletones in a mash-up of Rumor Has It and Someone Like You. The other big anthem of the evening is sung by Mr. Shu and Shelby. We gotta give some major props to some of the ladies over at McKinley High for earning an impressive #1 spot on the iTunes chart after its debut on the show. The track is a mash-up for the episode titled "Mash-Off" and we get to hear 2 songs from Adele and her album, 21. In Glee, Mercedes and Santana perform with their all-girls show choir group, The Troubletones, to Rumour Has It and Someone Like You, and we're super impressed by the emotion packed version from Naya Rivera and the powerful voice behind Amber Riley. So congrats to glee for earning the #1 spot on iTunes and just hours after the episode debut, the video has racked up more than 4.7 million views. He tells her that he's in love with her, but she basically tells him to beat it. He also mentions all the stuff Quinn planted in her house to get Child Protective Services to come and take her baby. Meanwhile Shelby and Mr. Shu decide to try and get their respective Glee Clubs to get along, and have them all show up in the auditorium so they can sing their mash-up of You and I. They also propose a Mash-Off between New Directions and the Troubletones. Meanwhile, Santana won't stop making fun of Finn, and he finally has enough, challenging her and the Troubletones to a Dodgeball match against New Directions. After the Troubletones win, Finn figures Santana will be nicer, but when she doesn't, he calls her out, saying she should just come out of the closet already, because everyone knows she's in love with Britney. The scene then turns to the class president debate?which includes Kurt, Brittany and Rachel all running against each other?until Rachel withdraws because she knows how important it is to Kurt. Meanwhile, Quinn is still trying to get Beth back and shows up to her house with a gift. Shelby turns her away, saying she knows about what she's done. Sue Sylvester then calls Santana into her office saying Santana's sexual preference has become part of a competitor's campaign strategy, and the news is public knowledge. After the Mash-Off, Santana goes off on Finn one last time, saying it's all his fault everyone knows, and the episode ends with her slapping him in the face. Da-rama!!! But his motive is to get the Trouble Tones members to come back to New Directions. The class presidential race is coming to a close, and Kurt is tempted to cheat and fix the votes because he needs to win in order to get into Nyada. The other race going on is the Congressional race, and Sue will do anything to win?including stealing Coach Beiste's man Kooter. She finds them on a date together and is devastated. Meanwhile, the New Directions try to help Santana with her coming out process through song, and then Puck jumps in but directs his whole serenade to Shelby, whom he's clearly still obsessing on. And Quinn notices. But Shelby turns Puck down yet again. By this time, the congressional commercial outing Santana airs, and the whole school finds out and she starts to get taunted. But Rachel, Britney and the girls have her back and sing I Kissed A Girl, and Santana decides it's time to tell her beloved grandmother. It doesn't go well, and she is ordered to leave the house, but finds solace in her Glee friends who support her. The results come in for the presidential race, and they find someone has fixed the vote, and blame Kurt. Rachel finally comes forward and admits she stuffed the ballot boxes, and tells New Directions she's not only suspended, but can't compete in Sectionals the following week. Drama! In next week's sneak peek, we see Chord Overstreet's character Sam makes a shirtless comeback, and we'll have to see if New Directions has a shot without their main star. Hello Gleeks, I'm Bridget Daly for ClevverMusic with your Glee-Cap from last night's episode, the Spanish Teacher, starring the one and only Ricky Martin. The episode kicked off with Will and his New Directions boys singing La Cucaracha to a very unimpressed class?prompting Will to realize he needs to step up his game as a teacher?not to mention the fact that he wants the newly opened tenured position at McKinley. So he decides to enroll in night school to actually learn Spanish?since ya know, he's a Spanish teacher and all. That's where he meets Ricky?I mean David Martinez, the sexy Spanish night school teacher. He tells Will to introduce his Glee club to Latin music, which becomes their assignment for the week.
David then shows up the next day to show the kids how it's done, performing Sexy and I Know It, and making every single person in the room melt. Meanwhile on the relationship front, Mercedes and Sam see Ms. Pillsbury for advice on where to go with their secret feelings for one another, and she tells them not to talk for a while to see if they miss each other. Rachel spills the beans on Finn's proposal to Mercedes and Kurt, who then confronts Finn about it. He tells him to have more faith in himself, and that he's got more going on his life than just Rachel.
David and Santana then perform a sexy version of La Isla Bonita, which Will then tries to top with his version of Little Less Conversation?but Santana calls him out for being a bad Spanish teacher, even though he's great at Glee. Will realizes he should look into another job at the high school and even tells David he should apply for the Spanish teacher position. The episode ends with Mercedes and Sam ending their silent treatment towards each other and they look like they're about to admit their feelings when Mercedes decides at the last minute to go with her ex boyfriend.
