Its looking like rumors are growing that the new British director Sam Mendes , is planning to ditch a host of stunts and action scenes from his first Bond film. Now this could put a lot of pressure on Daniel Craig, who will be making his third appearance as the British secret agent...perhaps it will challenge him to give more depth to his character...something he has once said he actually wanted for his character. Having a less stunt focused, but more depth to the roles of the characters may just be the ticket to that gold guy everyone in the film industry dreams to take home! Which may be the exact reason for this move...One source hinted this by saying: "There are growing rumors Sam Mendes is cutting out the action scenes and making it Oscar-friendly." According to the hollywood reporter Daniel Craig marks his return as British secret agent James Bond in the 23rd installment titled Skyfall surrounded by an all star team including Javier Bardem ,Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and the returning Judi Dench. Director Sam Mendes introduced Craig, Dench, Bardem and Skyfall's Bond girls played by French actress Berenice Marlohe and Britain's Naomie Harris at a press conference Thursday in the British capital. Director Sam Mendes took the opportunity to assure all his fans that his Bond film would stick to the traditions of the world's longest running franchise and have plenty of action...he said, "Skyfall, I think, has all the elements of a classic Bond movie, including, to quell any rumors, a lot of action," Mendes said. HE went on to say it was his aim to quell internet speculation, media rumors and confirm a few facts about the latest 007 but also spent much of the conference being unable to reveal any titbits about plot and such. In regards to budget, With a reported production price tag of around $200 million for the last two movies, the 007 films are at the high end for film budgets in the current economic climate. "We've not had to take anything out of the script to make cost cuts, "We keep adding things in. All the money spent will be seen on screen, Michael G Wilson one of the producers of the movies said. Daniel Craig returns as James Bond
The worst keep secrets in London have been official confirmed.
Details about the new Bond film were announced at a London press conference with the movies cast and director, Sam Mendes.
Daniel Craig will return as the British secret agent in "Skyfall", the 23rd installment of one of the world's longest-running and most successful film franchises.
SOUNDBITE: Daniel Craig, actor, saying (English):
"I wasn't worried about it. I mean if it didn't happen, it didn't happen. I mean, I would have to be as cool as I could be about it because you know, this is a really privileged position to be in and I count myself lucky."
Mendes assured fans that Bond's latest adventure would adhere to the high octane formula that have made the films an enduring genre - noting he is more than just a director, his also a fan.
SOUNDBITE: San Mendes, director, saying (English):
"Of course every young English schoolboy brings up with them, in a sense, it's a part of my life. I remember vividly remember seeing one of the first Bond movies which was 'Live and Let Die' and the impact it had on me. But there was something else, which was, frankly, he's sitting right next to me, I got very excited when i saw my friend Daniel Craig play James Bond in 'Casino Royale'. I thought it opened up all sorts of wonderful possibilities for the character, I love that movie."
Rounding out the cast will be Spanish actor Javier Bardem as the villain.
And Judi Dench returns as Bond's stern boss "M" - who talked about the mystery surrounding the film.

"Well it's terrible, I said to Sam yesterday, 'how much can you say,' he said, 'not much.' And I mean, that's the whole nature of secrecy isn't it."
The film is scheduled to hit British theaters next year on October 26 and in the U.S. on November 9.

According to the Hollywood reporter, Sam Mendes' Skyfall will release the tentpole in Imax theaters simultaneous with the film's international release on Oct. 26, and its domestic release on Nov. 9, 2012. This will be the first james bond flick in IMAX!

Also through this announcement, the Canadian exhibitor told analysts that it will screen more fanboy titles, and fewer animated movies, going forward. Pretty awesome!

Imax is also looking forward to more business in China after a recent agreement gave it a carve-out for 14 additional super-sized movie titles in that market beyond the existing 20 film quota for the major studios. So its looking like this may be the year of IMAX!

Skyfall spoiler hits the web and we have the details!

While some details of "Skyfall" are still kept secret, a possible important plot for the upcoming James Bond movie has been revealed. Sharing the spoiler-ish news is Best For Film, which claimed to have gotten this info from an insider on the films production team...

According to the site, there is going to be a quote "a fairly momentous death" in the forthcoming 007 movie. Words are, the key role who will meet her demise is none other than Bond's superior, M. "We've just filmed M's death scene," so claimed the insider. "Judi Dench is leaving the franchise." WHOA.

The leaked information is adding fuel to the previous rumors that Ralph Fiennes (FINES) has been prepared as the new M in "Skyfall".

The rumored plot details aside, "Skyfall" unleash in the first trailer will be attached to 'Men In Black 3' which opens May 25th!!!
