http://www.FTV.com/videos NEW YORK - Rodarte's Spring/Summer 2012 collection for New York Fashion Week was one part Sleeping Beauty and another part Vincent van Gogh. FashionTV wasn't sure where they were going with this until we heard designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy say they were infatuated with the color palettef the Disney movie from 1959 and wanted to know where else they could find similar color combinations. Enter Van Gogh, Dutch postimpressionist painter. Nevertheless, as great as they are at using those green and purple combinations, along with other momentous colors like yellow and seafoam, we're not so sure that the adult fashion world would be akin to it. It makes sense, considering Rodarte's front row was packed with teen and twentysomethings like Taylor Swift, Elle and Dakota Fanning, Rooney Mara, and teen blogger/editor Tavi Gevinson. They'd look smashing in a Rodarte getup on the red carpet. What we did love was the Van Gogh that was literally painted on a dress, like the one worn by model Joan Smalls. And the fact that Style.com's Nicole Phelps said the shoulders of some of the dresses were very 1940s Joan Crawford.

Thanks to the films official website, movie buffs are treated to character profiles for 18 characters as well as a sneak preview of Trent Reznors scored for the flick! AS you know, Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara are the stars of the flick, so I had to check out their profiles first! According to her profile on the site, Lisbeth is "pale and anorexic-looking and all but mute and she radiates hostility...But "her eyes, all but lost in heavy black make-up, hint at the hurt and vulnerability inside." Craig's Bomkvist, meanwhile, is "just a financial reporter who works hard" and is "unprepared for what actually awaits him." While your on the site, make sure you have your volume turned up because the sampling of the score is on autoplay, and you get a lil preview of whats to come! The track is dark and a bit on the eerie side, which works perfect for a thriller of a movie like Girl with a dragon tattoo. Reznor and atticus Ross last collaborated with "Dragon Tattoo" director David Fincher on the highly acclaimed score of "The Social Network," so we are pretty sure this duo WONT disappoint. Oggi infatti vi segnaliamo un curiosissimo connubio, per meglio dire Mashup, del full trailer dell'ancor più atteso ultimo film della saga del decennio, Harry Potter e i Doni della Morte Parte 2, realizzato proprio riprendendo il trailer del film di David Fincer. Con la colonna sonora, ovviamente, di Trent Reznor, la voce di Karen O degli Yeah Yeah Yeah, in un rifacimento -- remix di uno dei grandi classici del rock anni '70, Immigrant Song dei Led Zeppelin. Della nuova versione di Uomini che Odiano le Donne era già al tempo uscito un trailer, in versione Bootleg, vale a dire piratata, che ci diede comunque modo di osservare per la prima volta Rooney Mara nei panni di Lisbeth Salander. Ogni versione in ogni dove di questo spezzone però è già stata prontamente rimossa e quindi non è più visibile agli internauti. Per quel che riguarda Harry Potter e i Doni della Morte Parte 2, invece il materiale online è già molto e in effetti, essendo ormai al primo di giugno, non manca più molto per vederlo sui grandi schermi, visto che in Italia uscirà il 13 luglio 2011. Il film sarà l'ottavo ed ultimo capitolo della lunga saga sul maghetto, ormai cresciuto, di Hogswart e si preannuncia come uno degli eventi culminanti di tutta la stagione cinematografica.

The cast of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo hits New York
ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)
STORY: The cast of the American version of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" have hit the States to celebrate the opening of their new film.
Actors Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara hit the red carpet in New York to promote the movie based on Swedish author Stieg Larsson's first novel in the collection of The Millennium Trilogy.
Tales of avenging sexual violence against women and mystery play out in the movie that stars Craig as a journalist trying to crack the case of a missing woman. Newcomer Rooney Mara plays Lisbeth Salander, a computer hacker who tries to help Craig's character, Mikael Blomkvist, solve the mystery.
Craig, who first read the book when it came out, has always been a fan of the story.
Mara said the popularity of the books and her character Lisbeth didn't intimidate her from taking the role.
On the red carpet British actress Joely Richardson, who plays Anita Vanger in the movie, admitted that the books aren't normally what she reads, but understands the hype surrounding the publications.
For acting veteran Christopher Plummer, the book was all he needed in order to get into character.
The movie was shot on location in Stockholm and in the Swedish countryside, which gave Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard a welcomed and added responsibility.
Before heading into the screening of the film, Mara confessed that she hadn't seen the movie yet, saying that she would prefer to see the film while relaxed and free of pressure.
"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" opens in the U.S. on December 14.

'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' Premieres in NYC
The highly anticipated film that stars Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara, is an adaptation of Stieg Larsson's book- an international best seller, set in Sweden.

?I'm a huge fan of the book, and it's an unbelievably great story,? said Actor, Anthony Edwards as he walked the carpet.

Journalist Mikael Blomkvist, played by Daniel Craig is searching for a woman who has been missing for over forty years. Lisbeth Salander, a computer hacker played by Mara, assists him in the thrilling search.

?Rooney Mara, the first day she came on stage I saw that fierce, fire inside her,? says cast member Stellan Skarsgard.

That fire did not go unnoticed, just hours before the premiere, Mara was nominated for a Golden Globe for her performance in the film.

The break out star may play a computer hacker, covered in tattoos, but Mara wowed on the carpet in a cutout LBD, which seems to be her signature look.
