Robert Downey Jr. had his wife Susan Downey on his arm and new baby Exton on his mind when he hit the red carpet at the LA world premiere of The Avengers last night. It was RDJ and Susan's first appearance together since welcoming their son in early February. Robert also has an older son Indio from his previous marriage. Yesterday evening RDJ stopped to chat with us about collaborating with Joss Whedon and who his character Tony Stark/Iron Man butts heads with in the big-screen superhero movie,

Scarlett Johansson will NOT be a part of iron man 3, details coming your way!

With production on Iron Man 3 ready to begin, it's been long assumed that Scarlett Johansson would be reprising her role as Black Widow in the film. After all, she made her first appearance in 2010's Iron Man 2 and was even included in official casting announcements for the third film, but according to Screen Rant, Johansson's Black Widow will not be joining the adventures in iron man 3.

If you still don't believe us, and HER, Kevin Feige did not mention Scarlett Johansson in the cast list during his CinemaCon presentation. He only mentioned Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle reprising their roles. SO I think its pretty safe to assume, this news is official.

Though SCARJO will not join Robert Downey Jr. in iron man3, she did admit that she hopes there will be a standalone movie for Black Widow...but what do you guys think? "Man. Iron Man." Are we approaching a James Bond-type of recasting soon? Tune in as Clevver Movies gets you up to speed.

Badass Digest reports that the powers that be at Marvel are not above replacing Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man if and when he bows out of more movies. Iron Man 3 is currently in the works, making this the fourth time Downey Jr. plays the role. With more Avengers movies planned, Downey will be 50 by the time Avengers 2 comes out. Could he keep up and would he want to? Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is prepared for the worst:

"I hope Downey makes a lot of movies for us as Stark. If and when he doesn't, and
I'm still here making these movies . . . I think we James Bond it."

Feige also does not discard the possibility of aging the character with the actor. With the superhero franchise it would be easy to do -- simply use voiceover when he is in the suit. Let's also not forget that reincarnations of superheroes are commonplace in the Marvel universe. Different writers come in all the time to give their own unique spin on characters. Feige weighs in:

"I think the term reboot has got to go. I think it's like after the Star Wars movies nobody likes the idea of prequels, and reboots have turned into the same thing. It means 'Oh they've run out of ideas! It's bad.' I've seen The Amazing Spider-Man. It's awesome. It's totally fresh and unique."

Robert Downey Jr. was spotted headed to that Coldplay concert at the Hollywood Bowl tonight. Looks like Iron Man has a soft spot for Brit rock, and is embarrassed to admit it.

Extra avengers scene confirmed for US audiences, details coming your way!!!

While the international folks got to see the avengers before us here in the US, it turns out, our wait might be worth it! It seems as if the US will indeed be getting an extra scene at the end of the credits of Marvel's The Avengers and apparently its not at all what we expect!

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Movies.com writer Christopher Campbell, who last night attended a screening of Marvel's The Avengers in the US confirmed that there was an extra scene via twitter...he then also offered to direct message folks what the scene was...and word on the street is, the scene is of....LAST CHANCE TO LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, for those of us who say the movie already, this will make sense---the extra scene is of all the avengers eating shawarma after the final battle...if you haven't seen the flick, it makes no sense, but to me, its great...and I appreciate the humor. I might go back just to see this one minute scene.

We previously reported that Robert Downey Jr told reporters on the red carpet at the world premiere that they weren't done shooting, which Mark Ruffalo later confirmed. Despite director Joss Whedon's denial of the extra shoot, producer Kevin Feige admitted there was an extra scene shot, but he downplayed its significance saying that most people probably wouldn't even notice. Sounds like he was wrong about that one.
