Hi everyone, welcome back to ClevverMusic, I'm Bridget Daly in Hollywood. Could Whitney Houston's latest studio sessions be released? We hear via The Hollywood Reporter that right before her death, the iconic singer was working on new music for her upcoming film Sparkle. Producer Harvey Mason Jr. says five days before her death, Whitney had been working on a track called Celebrate that was written by R. Kelly, and was really excited about it.

The song was a duet with co-star Jordin Sparks, and was expected to play during the end credits of the film. Mason recalled Whitney's mood in the studio the past couple of weeks, saying quote, "After we finished, we were dancing around the booth and laughing and just having a good time listening to what we had accomplished. Her demeanor the last two weeks was very upbeat. She was in a good place."

No word on whether there's enough material for them to release the duet as planned on the film's soundtrack, but we think it would be such a great tribute to Whitney to do so. What are your thoughts?
