As you know Beyonce is in the midst of her four intimate New York City shows this week, and of course someone had to find the negative in it. Perez Hilton attended the Wednesday night show and claims Bey was using a teleprompter for her lines. He said she proceeded to use it throughout the night when telling stories to the crowd in between songs. Perez explained, "It was so distracting that for the first few songs everyone in my immediate area was watching the screen talking the script out loud before she was. It became especially ironic/humorous when she was talking about becoming an actress yet she's reading off of a prompter instead of memorizing the damn words." Yikes! I mean, we kinda see where he's coming from! Perez even posted pics of the teleprompter on his blog which you can see for yourself by clicking the link below. So what do you make of it? Should Beyonce be working teleprompter-free at this point in her career, or should everyone have a backup plan in case they forget their lines? Beginning with the tragic story at the Indiana State Fair, five people died after the stage collapsed at the event last weekend before the Sugarland Show. A memorial was held the next day for the lives lost, and an internal investigation has been launched. Speaking of concerts, Beyonce came under fire this week after Perez Hilton claimed she used a teleprompter during her NYC shows this week to remember her lines. No statement has been issued by Bey's camp, but many fans have responded negatively to it/ Bey's hubby Jay Z on the other hand is having a stellar week. He was added to the iheartradio fest in september, and his watch the throne album broke itunes records for the most downloads in one week, as well as a number 1 spot on the Billboard 200. He did give the wifey quite the compliment however, calling Beyonce the second coming of Michael Jackson, and calling her work ethic unprecedented. In other MJ comparisons, Katy Perry tied the King of Pop with the most singles off of one album in Billboard history. Hers for Teenage Dream, His for Bad. And finally, the VMAs are shaping up to be pretty rad! Gaga announced she's opening the show with a performance. And we also hear she's gonna be a part of a Britney Spears tribute, along with Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Janet Jackson, Nicki Minaj, Kesha and Katy Perry. There have also been whispers about an Amy winehouse tribute during the show, but nothing official has been released from MTV. So those are your weekly top stories! This comes after tons of speculation and even some minor demo leaks of the track. B finally hit up twitter to fill in her anxious fans, tweeting: "Heard an early demo of new single leaked. If you think that's good, wait til you hear the real one Tuesday." Brit's been busy working with producer Dr. Luke on this song, and he furthered the twitterfest, stating: "That version of Hold It Against Me is really old...it [doesn't] sound like that anymore...it's way better." To help tide her fans over until Tuesday, Britney posted the artwork for "Hold It Against Me," which shows off her beautiful face, a bit hidden by her blonde locks and hands. For a couple that some claim broke up because of busy careers, it sure seems like these two like spending time together, and we couldn't be happier.
