New Moon Soundtrack : Paramore Out, Kelly Clarkson In?
What's going to be on the NEW MOON soundtrack? Clevver has the breakdown right now. Clevver TV has come to the rescue to fill you in on some dish related to the soundtrack of the upcoming NEW MOON film. I'm Dana Ward. So it's old news that Paramore - who dominated the original Twilight soundtrack with anthem-song 'Decode' as well as 'I Caught Myself' - will NOT be on the film followup's music playlist. The group itself - or drummer Zac - said that they don't want to be in EVERY Twilight movie and become known as the vampire house band. However, from what we hear, a lot of Twilight fans are saddened about the band's decision, especially since the songs' looming guitar riffs and passionate lyrics perfectly matched up with the movie's emotion-packed love themes. Now it seems that possibly taking the place of the more indy-type music of Paramore might be Kelly Clarkson. According to an interview with the pop-singer, Kelly is a huge Twilight fan, actually stating that she's a NERD Twilight fan. Clarkson reportedly wrote a song called "Empty as I Am" with 2-backup singers BASED ON the NEW MOON book, actually stating that it was the saddest of the saga. The title alone seems like a perfect match for the soundtrack after all thats probably how Bella feels for most of the movie after Edward leaves her. The singer also went on to say that the group created 'Empty as I Am' before the film-followup was even looking to make a soundtrack. So how do you feel about Kelly Clarkson jumping on board? I'm Dana Ward and I'm saying, let's jump right into this official nominee list for this year's MTV Video Music Awards. If we're giving a winner based on the number of nods, the 2010 victor is Lady Gaga. She earned 13 nominations - and she is the first artist to ever receive two nods in the Vid of the Year category... meanwhile Eminem got runner-up this year with 8 nominations. There were even some first-time VMA-ers including Justin Bieber for Best New Artist, Ke$ha for Best New Artist, Best Female Vid and Best Pop Video, Drake in the Best Male Video and Best Hip Hop Vid Categories, B.o.B. for Best Male Video, Best Collaboration, Best Pop Video, Best Hip Hop Video and Video of the Year. Stay tuned for the deets. What's up? You're back at the ClevverTV studio. I'm your host Dana Ward with news that sounds like music for all of our ears! The annual Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden -- which includes tons of hot musical acts -- is set to be televised for all to enjoy. So it will be an amazing holiday concert show for everyone, with featured performances including Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, Paramore, B.o.B, Bruno Mars, Enrique Iglesias and Travie McCoy. Plus, some of the evening's hosts include Flo Rida, Kim Kardashian and Jay Sean. Paramore's Hayley Williams Visits Glee
Does Glee actor and drummer Cory Monteith have plans to join Paramore? We've got the true story up next. Welcome back to ClevverTV -- hey music lovers. I'm your girl Joslyn Davis. It's no secret that lots of celebs and musicians are just as big of fans of Fox's show Glee as the rest of us out there. And one of our favorite famous ladies, Paramore singer, Hayley Williams, is part of the famous fan-club. IN a quick back and forth with MTV, Hayley dished on why she was recently on the Glee set -- could a cameo be in the works or was she there for another reason. As it turns out, Paramore doesn't have any plans to appear on the TV show, however, Hayley did say that she "found out that Cory [Monteith] is a drummer!" So of course our next wishful thought was that the band would be adding another drummer to it's team. And wishful thinking that thought will stay. Hayley added that Cory is "in a band that's just starting up" and that everyone should keep their "eyes and ears open!" We're giving you the details up next. You're back at ClevverTV. Hello music lovers. I'm Joslyn Davis with latest news on Paramore. Just a few days ago the band announced that two of its founding members (who are also brothers by the way), Zac and Josh Farro, would be saying good by to the group. Hayley Williams and the other two remaining members broke the news on their site. Paramore has been a group for about 6 years, but Hayley, Jeremy and Taylor revealed that a few months ago Josh and Zac let them know that after their recent show in Orlando, they would be leaving the group. While this might come as surprise to some of you out there, Paramore was not all that shocked. In fact, the remaining members wrote on their site that "for the last year it hasn't seemed as if [Josh and Zac] wanted to be around anymore." Either way, they all want the guys to be happy and Paramore is still very much alive and kicking. The group is excited about its next chapter, which will include kicking off 2011 with a tour in South America. All of their dates are still happening, although we're not sure if they will be adding new members to the group yet, or at all in the future. They'll likely have to get some people to at the very least fill in for their upcoming dates, but as to whether or not they'll be official members will have to wait to be seen. Then later in 2011, the group will take time off and write a new record. And if Hayley and co do it their way, they'll write at home, which is where they can really focus when they have time off. Following the official announcement and an outpouring of encouragement from fans, Hayley also hit twitter to show some love, but she showed some honestly adding that "Today is not going to go down as one of my favorite days. Just being real." As for Josh and Zac, well Altpress.com is reporting that Josh will be performing now as a part of a new group called Tunnels with musician Jason Clark. THey already have a song out there called "Hide Your Eyes." On the music front, stand-outs included Eminem, who won three awards, while Selena Gomez and the Scene took home Favorite Breakout Artist, Taylor Swift won Favorite Country Artist and Paramore won for Favorite Rock Band. Some of the top honors of the night overall went to Glee for favorite TV comedy and, you may have guessed it, but The Twilight Saga Eclipse nabbed the awards for both Favorite Drama Movie and Favorite Movie. But one very obvious person missing from the winner's list is Justin Bieber. What's the deal with this guys? He's easily one of the hottest stars on the planet, so why didn't the people choose him?
