There is little information about the film, except that original director Oren Peli is expected to produce. Saw VI director Kevin Greutert will helm a sequel to Oren Peli's Paranormal Activity for Paramount Pictures. Michael R. Perry is penning the script. Peli's new film 'Chernobyl Diaries' follows a group of friends who go to Europe for vacation and end up stranded in the abandoned city of Prypiat, little do they know that this place once housed the workers of Chernobyl nuclear reactor and soon discover that they are not alone. Sure sounds suspenseful!

---- Alcon Entertainment cofounders Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove announced they have acquired North American and international release rights in Germany, Spain and Japan. 'Chernobyl Diaries' will be produced by Peli and Brian Witten, who directed 'Final Destination' and 'Friday the 13th.' Also, it is said that 'Chernobyl Diaries' was fully financed and sold internationally by FilmNation Entertainment.

Congratulations to Brad, Oren and Brian who have created an incredible movie that will truly terrify audiences."
