The movie franchise is set to receive a special farewell tribute that promises to not disappoint fans at this years SCREAM AWARDS!!!. It is even rumored that a very special guest will be making an appearance! We don't know who it will be, since we expect most of the cast and crew to already be there with its 14 nominations for this year's award show. And if that wasn't enough this show has a lot more in store for viewers. The 6th annual awards show will honor Robert Downey Jr., and Nicolas Cage showing exclusive clips from their upcoming movies. Spike TV announced the "SCREAM Awards 2011" will officially bid farewell to the "Harry Potter" franchise with a special tribute, present Robert Downey Jr. with the "Hero Award" and give Nicolas Cage the "Maverick Award" during the event on Saturday, October 15. Spike TV's "SCREAM Awards 2011" will also feature world premiere footage from some of the biggest releases of the next 12 months. The show will include never-before-seen previews of "Total Recall," "The Woman In Black," "Paranormal Activity 3" and "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," with many more films to be announced shortly. Stars in attendance will be "Black Swan" director Darren Aronofsky, "Lost" creator J.J. Abrams, star of "Kick Ass" and "Let Me In" Chloe Moretz, Kal Penn and John Cho of "Harold and Kumar" , "True Blood" star Joe Manganiello, and "American Horror Story" lead actor Dylan McDermott, Fans can vote for their favorites, as well as view exclusive red carpet and backstage coverage of the event, by visiting scream.spike.com. I'm your host Dana Ward and today we're excited to reveal some new details about the next film project for Vanessa Hudgens.Thanks to Deadline for the exclusive info, we know that V is set to star in an upcoming dramatic thriller, Frozen Ground. According to the report, she will play a teenager who escapes the wilderness from a serial killer in Alaska -- one of dozens of women to survive -- and she must prove her story's truth. Nicolas Cage is set to play the state trooper who finds her while John Cusack will play the predator in the movie which will actually shoot in the film's Alaskan location. Vanessa will jet off to Anchorage for the reported October 17 production start date. We love that the star has recently been busy taking on roles outside of her normal on-screen presence, so we want to know if you're ready to see her in Frozen Ground, especially since it's a thriller. Weve just learned that ghost rider : spirit of vengeance has launched the Face of the Fan Contest. According to movie web, aspiring artists and Ghost Rider fans can create a movie poster that shows off their creativity and design skills in the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Face of the Fan® Contest. In the contest, the studio is looking for fan art that captures the excitement of the legendary character. To get started, all fans need to do is visit the link in our description or head to facebook.com/faceofthefan in order to download the digital assets they need to help creat their original posters! Each fan may submit up to three finished pieces that then express the tone of Ghost Rider and the anticipation for the film, which will be released in 3D in theaters on February 17, 2012. One Grand Prize winner will receive a trip for two to the premiere of the film and the potential to have the winning poster featured in select movie theaters during the marketing campaign of the movie. We all know that there have been rumors swirling about potential cast mates for the sequel, and antonio banderas was one of the names being thrown around, until now, when we have gotten confirmation via indie wire, that banderas will not be joining the all star cast. Regarding his involvement in the film banderas said, "They asked me to do it, I don't think at this ppoint I will have the time. I am very disappointed that it didn't work out." So while he is not going to be in the sequeal, we know he wanted to...so maybe he will join the third installment that we are assuming will happen. As we reported this week, Mickey ROurke who was also rumored to star, is also confirmed to NOT be in the sequel...two others NOT in the flick...Nicolas cage and john Travolta. According to the Hollywood reporter, Nicolas Cage's nearly-pristine copy of Action Comics No. 1 featuring the first appearance of Superman sold for a record $2,161,000 in an online auctionthat ended Wednesday. . If your thinking this is A LOT OF MONEY for a comic, your ABSOLUITALY RIGHT!!!! It is the first comic to sell for more than $2 million at auction. The previous record was $1.5 million for a less well-preserved copy of Action Comics No. 1 sold in March 2010. . Another crazy story about Cage's comic --- it was stolen from his home in 2000 and only recovered in April when an unidentified man bought the contents of an abandoned Southern California storage locker. TALK ABOUT CRAZY!!! . So why all the fuss, well Approximately 100 copies of Action Comics No. 1 remain in existence...and Experts believe only about five others, all in private hands, are of near-equal quality to Cage's copy and only one -- the legendary "Edgar Church Collection" copy, which has never been publicly viewed -- might exceed it. .
