This week's Fanboy Faceoff was all about teamwork as two of the most popular superhero franchises of all time faced off with your votes deciding the winner.
The Avengers and X-Men may be battling it out in the comic books, but The Avengers are clearly on everyone's minds in the movie world which has helped garner them a lot of fans. Many of you thought there was one thing The Avengers had that the X-Men didn't that would be the key to their winning and it can be summed up in four words.
Yes, the big green wrecking machine was the topic of many debates. Viewer littlelarry05 even thought Hulk could take on the entire X-Men alone saying, "The Hulk would do it himself while the rest of The Avengers stand around drinking tea." While most agreed that Hulk would be pretty unstoppable, some did think there were a few members of the X-Men that could challenge him including Wolverine, Rogue and especially Jean Grey as Phoenix. shykstuma countered by saying, "There's just no way [Hulk] could solo the entire X-MEN...Phoenix Jean can outright kill the hulk or slow him down considerably (because of his regeneration) by continuously disintegrating him."
So even though the Avengers have Hulk and a straight up god, some believe sheer numbers and diversity of powers the X-Men possess would be enough to take them out. aquamarine11500 brought up this very point stating, "Mutants as a whole are more versatile and have many different power sets that gives them greater power depth. There's a mutation for just about every power an Avenger has a mutant or X-men possesses."
Despite the overwhelming number of X-Men, 44excalibur thought the Avengers motivation would give them the edge they needed to win commenting, "The X-Men mostly fight and stand for themselves and for mutantkind. The Avengers fight and stand for everyone on the entire Earth. That's why they're Earth's mightiest heroes!"
Lots of good points on both sides, but as we all know there can only be one winner. It was a close faceoff, but with 58% of the votes, Avengers managed to take down the mighty numbers of the X-Men. Fans of the hit Capcom franchise Lost Planet, get ready to soil yourself out of excitement for the third game. Very recently Lasercorn and I here at clevver games got a sneak peak at LP3 set to release early in early 2013
.
One of the first things that caught my attention in this game is that it takes place as a prequel to the other Lost Planet games. So you play as Jim, a blue collar worker on EDN 3 trying to help prepare the planet for colonization. All this guy wants is his hazard pay so he can get back home to his family.
.
Now the demo that we played started off a bit slow, but it really worked us into the atmosphere. We had the chance to reall experience how dangerous the climate could be and how enemies could sneak up on you out of nowhere. We also got to play in the first person mode when you're in your utility rig that remined me of the machine from Alien that ripley jumps into and a big daddy from bioshock....just bigger. Not only are these rigs could for clearing paths in the environment and keeping you safe from the environment. But you can kick some major ass in their as well. At on point in time, I picked up a beast with one hand then using my drill in the other mechanical arm, I well...you get the picture.

This game is looking like it will ive up to the Lost Planet name with bigger enemies that make you really think your strategy at all times, with some great multiplayer modes. But not much has been said about those yet. There's a lot more we can expect from this game, especially as E3 gets closer.

We waited for years, for this title, and the numbers are showing that we were more than excited to finally have Diablo 3 at our fingertips.

Diablo 3 launched and had a huge impact on the industry, shattering records left and right! In 24 hours this game sold 3.5 million titles in just 24 hours. And the forward momentum didn't stop there. In it's first week live, it went on to sell over 6.3 bagillion copies! Well, actually just 6.3 million copies, but still, that's a fuck ton. And all of this isn't counting the 1.2 million copies that players got for free with the world of warcraft annual pass promotion.

In fact, Gamestop's senior vice president of merchandising said that this was one of the biggest PC launches ever. And with these numbers, my response is saw this one coming. Even Amazon said that D3 broke all preorder records for a PC game and shattered day one milestone records in sales.
.
But diablo 3's launch didn't go smoothly, it did have its fair share of technical difficulties. We had some glitches that made the game unplayable and the server issue..well, let's just be happy that's behind us. Former American Idol runner-up, Adam Lambert, shows other Idols how's it's done! Hey Glamberts- you're tuned in to ClevverMusic. Adam Lambert dropped his second studio album 'Trespasing' last week and it will debut next week on the Billboard 200 charts at #1! According to Nielsen SoundScan, Adam's second album has sold 77,000 copies so far. He bumps fellow Idol, Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" down to the No. 3 spot.
This is Adam's first No. 1 album, which follows his debut studio album, 'For Your Entertainment' that peaked at No. 3 on the charts and has sold over $1 million copies to date. Mr. Lambert is the seventh American Idol alum to reach No. 1 on the charts, following Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Carrie Underwood, Chris Daughtry, and Scotty McCreery.

We all know the seqel gi joe retaliation was supposed to come out next month on june 29th, and now paramount at the LAST MINUTE is moving the movie nine months to a march 29th open!
A studio exec from paramount told Deadline, "We're going to do a conscientious 3D job because we've seen how it can better box office internationally....Jim Cameron did all of Titanic's 3D in post -- and look how well that movie turned out."
Despite the excitement for 3D films waning here in the States and other locations around the world, the trend is becoming increasingly popular in countries like China and Russia that are big factors in a film's global success.

For all those who think Gary Oldman is a god, we have good news. He has been added to the cast of the upcoming MGM remake of RoboCop as the creator of the machine.
Oldman will play Norton, a scientist who brings Officer Alex Murphy back from the brink of death and recreates him as a cyborg police officer. He then finds himself torn between his obligation to his corporation and the machine's ideals in rediscovering its humanity.
Joel Kinneman stars as Officer Alex Murphy nee RoboCop. Production will start shooting in Toronto in September with Jose Padilha directing. Strike Entertainment's Marc Abraham and Eric Newman are producing. So far the film is set for a release next summer.

Zac Efron is the latest Hollywood A-lister to head to the Cannes film festival, where he's been spotted posing for pictures and even revealing his latest love. Zac and his co-stars Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey, and John Cusack are in Cannes to promote their film "The Paperboy." Yesterday they sat down for a panel session to answer questions about the film, which is actually included in this year's prestigious Cannes competition. Obviously, this movie is a huge opportunity for Zac -- especially have the opportunity to share the screen with an iconic Oscar-winner like Nicole Kidman. In fact Zac was quick to admit his feelings saying QUOTE: I've been in love with her for a long time -- since Moulin Rouge. It was the loveliest time in the world for me." "The Paperboy" is an independent film that takes place in the south in the 1960's. Zac Efron's character is working towards becoming writing and in the film he helps his journalist brother (played by Matthew McConaughey) look into some mishaps in the justice system. Over the course of the film, Zac's character finds himself in love with Nicole Kidman's character -- who happens to be in love with a jailed man, who is played by John Cusack. And here's what you all should get excited about -- Zac apparently spends the bulk of the movie in his underwear. We have our first look at Edward Cullen from Breaking Dawn Part 2 -- a new Edward-only poster was just revealed and we are zooming in and taking a closer look right now. Obviously there will be a lot of finality surrounding this film, as it does mark the end of the Twilight Saga. However, the fact that only word on the poster is "forever," is indicative of the fact that despite the release of the final film, the story of Bella, Edward and Jacob will live on for eternity. (Can you tell I'm a fan or what?) As for what really has fans talking when it comes to this poster, well, let's take a look Edward's face. Similar to the other Breaking Dawn Part 2 posters, this one is close look at the left side of Edward's face, chiseled cheek-bones and all. We have our first look at Edward Cullen from Breaking Dawn Part 2 -- a new Edward-only poster was just revealed and we are zooming in and taking a closer look right now. Obviously there will be a lot of finality surrounding this film, as it does mark the end of the Twilight Saga. However, the fact that only word on the poster is "forever," is indicative of the fact that despite the release of the final film, the story of Bella, Edward and Jacob will live on for eternity. (Can you tell I'm a fan or what?) As for what really has fans talking when it comes to this poster, well, let's take a look Edward's face. Similar to the other Breaking Dawn Part 2 posters, this one is close look at the left side of Edward's face, chiseled cheek-bones and all.
