Fall in Love Every Day - Rafe - Original Song
Fall in Love Every Day G C5 Her soft brown hair Her Golden eyes I fall in love, She passes by She passes by We're trapped within The shields we make What's strangers love We dare to take We dare to take D C G Wish that I knew what to say I fall in love every day C G D The world is a path, Everyone passes by If I could I would stop Every girl and say hi What is it that you're hoping To do with your life Or tonight Rings on her face And wildly dressed A pink Tattoo Across her chest Across her chest So many types Some kinda fright To find the one That's' kinda right That's kinda right Here's an interview my friend Adam did with me a little while ago: Rafe: I hail from Toronto Ontario. I play a lot of shows and hopefully I will pursue music over the next period of time. Adam: Who are some of your biggest influences? Rafe: I have a lot of influences. I was always very into the old school guys like The Doors, Neil Young and Dylan were my favourites. Lately though, I've been really interested in some of the new guys. I love Panic! At the disco, (or panic at the disco as they recently changed their name) fall out boy, Rocket Summer, Something Corporate, Mute Math, Regina Spektor is one of my favourites. I found this other girl on her myspace, Jenny Owens Young who I'm really into. I love Tragically Hip but I wouldn't say I sound anything like them. Adam: Who would you say you sound like? Rafe: Well, I tell people, stylistically I sound like a mix between Green Day and Billy Joel. Obviously that's not really true, it just gets people interested. I get "Something Corporate" a lot and also rocket summer. Sometimes people say I sound like Barenaked Ladies mostly because I sing really fast at some points, like in "Love in a Little Grey Box". I also am heavily influenced by John Mayer and Jason Mraz. Adam: Any songs your listening to a lot of these days? Rafe: Ya, I really like "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles. That songs a blatant hit. Also, "Say" by John Mayer I love. Oh yeah, I was never a death cab for cutie fan but...

NEIL YOUNG - MR SOUL - LIVE 2008 HQ
Oh, hello, Mr. Soul, I dropped by to pick up a reason

For the thought that I caught that my head is the event of the season

Why in crowds just a trace of my face could seem so pleasin`

I`ll cop out to the change, but a stranger is putting the tease on

I was down on a frown when the messenger brought me a letter

I was raised by the praise of a fan who said I upset her

Any girl in the world could have easily known me better

She said you`re strange, but don`t change, and I let her

In a while, will the smile on my face turn to plaster

Stick around while the clown who is sick does the trick of disaster

For the race of my head and my face is moving much faster

Is it strange I should change I don`t know, why don`t you ask her [4x]
The Three Musketeers Movie Review Round-Up
Watch The Three Musketeers Trailer http://youtu.be/KSQ-qKtnP8w?hd=1 http://bit.ly/clevvermovies - Click to Subscribe! http://Facebook.com/ClevverMovies - Become a Fan! http://Twitter.com/ClevverMovies - Follow Us! Hey guys, thanks for checking back with us at clevver movies, Im Tatiana carrier and ive got your review round up on The Three Muskateers! The movie is about the three former legendary, but now down on their luck, Musketeers who must unite and defeat a beautiful double agent and her villainous employer from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war. The flick releases this week, so I thought we would give you the scoop on what the critics are saying before you head out to the theatres and see it for yourselves! Unfortunaly, the film only scored a 28% on rotten tomatoes, and the critics weren't impressed, lets see why! Neil Young from the hollywood reporter said, "3D swashbuckler wields a disappointingly blunt sword." Leslie Felperin from Variety said, "A very 2011 take on Alexandre Dumas' classic that feels weirdly dated already." And lastly, Owen Glieberman from entertainment weekly wasn't impressed with the acting...he said, "something essential is missing from all these young performers. It's the quality Harrison Ford has in the Indiana Jonesfilms: a sense of urgency ? the will to action." Well, the muskateers were not a hit, but well let you decide, so make sure you let us know what you thought by commenting below and be sure to stay right here on clevver movies for more review round ups like this! Thanks for watching, see you next time!

PETER PIEK
BALCONYTV 20/07/2009

LAYLA ANNA-LEE with PETER PIEK

Peter Piek is a German painter, author, and songwriter. (mt/tg) Peter Piek did not exist between 2001 and 2006 this is what his self-written biography tells us. There used to be several Peters. Split into multiple partial personalities? as he remarks it laconically. He abandonded this state in 2006 when he reunited the remaining partial personalities. During this time he was studying Fine Art and Painting, when founded the artist group Malfront, wrote two books about his vision of painting. His quintessence: Painting just starts primarily with painting! Critics get rather complicated when they talk about Peter Piek as painter, using words like Being, the Physically compound consistency of the canvas and the rhythmic breathing which is synthesised into an interwoven interaction. One stereotype is not enough. In Biel (Switzerland) however, Peter Piek performes at a concert, since he is actually a songwriter and multi-instrument player, as well. He may have merged his partial personalities into one, but for artists like Peter Piek one art form is not enough for him to articulate. Therefore, his 'Say Yes To Peter Piek' tour stops on Thursday at AJZ Gaskessel in Biel. If you try describe Peter Piek's music, you might classify it as Independent Rock, although it would hardly fit as this is not quite correct. The term Pop would not come close to his ambition for art, as his Songs are too ecclectic and complex. Peter Piek's voice is unusual. He sings in a high pitch, but not in head voice. It sounds similiar to Neil Young and Sigur Ros. The shows are always intensive, though. In front of a full club, the nearly 6.5 feet frontman Peter Piek screams out his love to life, throws himself with his guitar in sheer ecstasy to the ground using distorted chords to sob his weltschmerz through the sound system. Piek's archetypes must be Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam, and the Smashing Pumpkins. Featuring his band the Colours, Peter Piek is an artist who tries to merge painting and music. His band is named The Colours and a fan wrote about his last album 'Say Hello To Peter Piek' 'Everybody who knows his paintings thinks: They are like music. Contrariwuse, you could suppose his music is like colourful paintings. There's a colourful evening waiting on us in Biel. It remains to hope that Peter Piek still continues unifying his partial personalities.

WHO: Lucy Kitt
WHY: Listen to her voice, faultless guitar-playing and exceptional songwriting and it will immediately become apparent
WHERE: Canterbury, UK

Lucy is a singer/songwriter from the South East, fast making waves and drawing goosebumps with her raw talent and unique musical style. Evoking the sound of the great female American singer-songwriters of the 60?s and 70's, her music is a beautiful and eclectic mix of folk rock and country blues. She's fast developing a growing fan-base
throughout the UK and beyond with her self-penned acoustic songs and here at Balcony TV London we're big fans.

With musical parents it was inevitable Lucy would develop a natural talent for guitar and love for song. Picking up tips from her blues-guitarist father and folk-singing mother, her songwriting days began at sweet 16 in all-girl grunge-rock band 'Ostara'. As a guitarist and performer on the East London rock circuit, the band quickly became established as well known musicians in their hometown of Romford & Upminster in Essex.

It was moving to Kent for University after the split of 'Ostara' that Lucy's love for acoustic and folk took hold. Lucy naturally began taking inspiration from the likes of Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Sandy Denny and music from her parents influential collection of 70's sounds. Beginning as a solo performer in her first year of university, Lucy soon became a rising star on the Canterbury music scene and has been a respected local talent ever since. Recognition for her songwriting saw her reach the semi finals of the BBC Radio 2 young folk award in 2007.

Beyond the UK, Lucy has fans across Europe and USA; having performed in Sweden and Switzerland, and organised her own mini-tour of North California, Lucy continues to spread her music far and wide. With radio air play in Australia as well as back home, and famous fans from the likes of anti-folk hero Billy Bragg, exposure of Lucy's music is fast catching up her exceptional talent.

ARROW IN THE SKY
http://www.balconytv.com
BALCONYTV DUBLIN 12/06/2009
PRESENTED BY TOM MILLETT
rrow in the Sky shot forth from the ashes of Till the Morning Comes, a popular rock outfit. TTMC parted ways during the summer of 2008, leaving its members disillusioned with the music making business. Many of the members were to be found floating to and fro on the musical waves of cover bands and alt-rock projects. At some point in early September, Shayne (founding member of TTMC) and Conor (off and on bass player) sat down with a couple of acoustic guitars and some Neil Young standards for a bit of a Jim jam. Within an hour or so they had mysteriously moved on to a new composition by Shayne, still in its early stages, entitled When I Awake. A microphone was set up and they recorded the first of many demos for a new group as yet untitled. Neither of these two stalwart musicians foresaw what was to come. That within mere days, fellow TTMC axe slinger, Brian, would be joining them on their new musical adventure. A week or so later with only two songs under their belt and a few Neil Young covers to fall back on, they took to the stage for their first gig. And so Arrow in the Sky was born. Since those hectic early days, the trio have been busy writing, rehearsing, recording and playing shows. Quietly building momentum as they go, with each fan converted spreading the word; Come see Arrow in the Sky If one were to look at the stage prior to an Arrow in the Sky show, one would expect to see at least ten men appear before you. When three men arrive on the stage surrounded by banjos, mandolins, basses, accordions, tin whistles, harmonicas, saxophones, trumpets, keys, various percussive items and of course acoustic guitars, an air of expectancy can be palpably felt in the audience. The audience stares, as if a physical arrow were approaching, not quite knowing where to stand or what to do, merely looking, listening and waiting. And when the music starts up and the voices rise in melodious harmony, the hush of the crowd lets one know that the arrow has hit its target.

Thomas Wynn & The Believers are "Southern Rock Muscle" - The Orlando Sentinel.
They are a combination of blistering rock and southern soul. This tight six-piece, fiery ensemble has been playing the Orlando original music circuit for the last year and a half and have quickly garnered local celebrity press status and fan buzz. Thomas' spirit-moving vocals are uniquely supported by sister Olivia Wynn's
engaging and captivating voice and presence. Olivia and Thomas stand side by side on stage. Her strong vocal harmonies and response makes the perfect companion to his yearning banshee cries.

Known for their powerful LIVE performances, they have headlined 100+ shows this year alone and have additionally shared the stage with national acts Gov't Mule, Leon Russell, Drive-By Truckers, Leftover Salmon, JJ Grey & Mofro, and Medeski, Martin & Wood, just to name a few. The themes of the band go beyond years of drugs, heartbreaks and hypocrisy to deliver a message of hope. TW&TB radiate a southern charm that is all their own and have quickly become a Florida favorite.

REAX Magazine recently said... "For once, you have a Florida band that is truly Florida. They look like Florida, they sound like Florida - with a touch of Molly Hatchett, The Band, Neil Young, and The Black Crowes. Not fad hipster, not transplant Florida, but Florida Florida." One journalist said, after seeing their show he had a strange urge to gleefully run through the cotton fields sipping on moonshine.

These guys are on the leading edge of creating a new southern rock scene. The sum of the parts is the strongest live shows in the region. Powerful melodies and hooks, grinding jams with soaring guitars and tight drum work, and a front man that can carries the audience to new heights. "You have to book them... I was astounded."
