CGRundertow X-MEN: DESTINY for PlayStation 3 Video Game Review
X-Men: Destiny review. Classic Game Room presents a CGRundertow review of X-Men: Destiny from Silicon Knights and Activision for the PlayStation 3. X-Men: Destiny is also available for the Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360. There's just no way around it. X-Men: Destiny is just a mediocre video game. It's a standard 3D beat 'em up built around standard gameplay and standard level design. You could replace "standard" with "boring," and the criticism would still be accurate. There's nothing here worth exploring unless you're a seriously devout X-Man fan. And even then, you should just save your money for the comics. The game is set in a world where the tension between humans and mutants has boiled over. You play as your choice of three young characters, each of whom will discover something very important about themselves before it's all said and done. You're interacting with mutants who are going to react to you based on your loyalties, so Destiny at least seems to have a great premise. This video review features video gameplay footage of X-Men: Destiny for the PlayStation 3 and audio commentary from Classic Game Room's Derek.

This week's Fanboy Faceoff was all about teamwork as two of the most popular superhero franchises of all time faced off with your votes deciding the winner.

The Avengers and X-Men may be battling it out in the comic books, but The Avengers are clearly on everyone's minds in the movie world which has helped garner them a lot of fans. Many of you thought there was one thing The Avengers had that the X-Men didn't that would be the key to their winning and it can be summed up in four words.

Yes, the big green wrecking machine was the topic of many debates. Viewer littlelarry05 even thought Hulk could take on the entire X-Men alone saying, "The Hulk would do it himself while the rest of The Avengers stand around drinking tea." While most agreed that Hulk would be pretty unstoppable, some did think there were a few members of the X-Men that could challenge him including Wolverine, Rogue and especially Jean Grey as Phoenix. shykstuma countered by saying, "There's just no way [Hulk] could solo the entire X-MEN...Phoenix Jean can outright kill the hulk or slow him down considerably (because of his regeneration) by continuously disintegrating him."

So even though the Avengers have Hulk and a straight up god, some believe sheer numbers and diversity of powers the X-Men possess would be enough to take them out. aquamarine11500 brought up this very point stating, "Mutants as a whole are more versatile and have many different power sets that gives them greater power depth. There's a mutation for just about every power an Avenger has a mutant or X-men possesses."

Despite the overwhelming number of X-Men, 44excalibur thought the Avengers motivation would give them the edge they needed to win commenting, "The X-Men mostly fight and stand for themselves and for mutantkind. The Avengers fight and stand for everyone on the entire Earth. That's why they're Earth's mightiest heroes!"

Lots of good points on both sides, but as we all know there can only be one winner. It was a close faceoff, but with 58% of the votes, Avengers managed to take down the mighty numbers of the X-Men. So do you agree with the results or do you think the success of The Avengers movie helped them to take this faceoff? Let us know in the comments below and be sure to let us know which Faceoff you'd like to see next week. Until then, I'm Tatiana Carrier, thanks for watching!

Welcome to clevver u! Today we embark on a new mission, with men in black releasing, we decided to give a lil background on the men in black! Ready? Let's get started!

Men In Black have been associated with aliens since way back in the 1940's when the first modern UFO sightings began. Increased reports of strange men wearing black suits grew throughout the 1950's and 60's. Most believe these men to be members of a secret government agency sent to thwart the existence of aliens, while other believe these "Men In Black" could in fact be aliens themselves.

The Men In Black as we have grown to love started off as a comic book series created and written by Lowell Cunningham first published in 1990. These Men In Black not only took on aliens, but also dealt with baddies like demons and mutants. They took their jobs seriously and weren't above killing to keep their secrets from the populace.

The top-secret government agency responsible for monitoring and policing paranormal life forms on Earth got a bit of a facelift when it hit movie screens in 1997. They traded in lethal force for their patented Neuralizer, a pen-size device that wipes the memories of those that encounter either them or aliens, and is also used to wipe the memories of former agents when they retire. The Neuralizer has become so popular, it was ranked number 4 on a list of film inventions that people wished were real.

So who are these Men In Black? Agent K, played by Tommy Lee Jones is a veteran of the agency. Little is known about his early life, but has been with the agency since his 20's. His real name is Kevin Brown and he grew up the son of a drill Sargent. After his partner retires, Kay recruits a young, NYPD officer named James Darrell Edwards III to not only take the place as his new partner, but also be Kay's replacement.

That new partner is found in Agent J, played by Will Smith. Jay brings a youthful, energetic and often unorthodox approach to the MIB organization. After Kay retires, Jay has trouble training a new partner and eventually recruits Kay back to MIB to take down the aliens and restore peace to the universe. In the third installment of the franchise, Jay must travel back in time to save a young Kay, played by Josh Brolin, from being murdered. His journey will lead him to unknown secrets of the universe that could be the key to saving the future of humankind.

So there you have it, everything you need to know about Men In Black. Your homework assignment is to go see Men In Black 3 and report your findings below in the comments section. Until next time, I'm professor Carrier and we'll see you in class.
