Hey everyone, thanks for tuning back into clevver movies, your number one source for movie news! Im your host, Tatiana carrier!, and I must say, 2011 had some pretty amazing films to keep us movie buffs entertained and by the looks of things, 2012 is going to be even better! Here is my list of most anticipated movies for the new year! Lets get started! . 10) The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 (November 16th)? this is the big finale to the twilight saga, and we get to see bella in her new element...as a vampire! Finales to sagas are always goodies, so twilight breaking dawn part 2 definitly makes the cut! . 9) Men In Black III (May 25th)---its been a long time since weve caught up with the men in black, and im thinking will smith will bring his A-Game, and maybe even a new theme song that we can get jiggy to? . 8) Django Unchained (December 25th)- ...with an all star cast including leonardo dicaprio, Jamie foxx and Christoph Waltz (just to name a few) and Quitin Taritino at the helm, this flick is sure to be a must see! . 7) Prometheus (June 8th)---this action thriller stars charleze theron, Michael fassbender and noomi rapace and has been getting lots of buzz on the web and I think all the hype will be well deserved! . 6) Skyfall (November 9th)---The latest bondflick brings Daniel craig back to us 007 fans! This classic will always be one we cant wait to see! . 5) The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (December 14th) marks the first of 2 parts to the saga ...weve been getting little snippets here and there and from what we can see so far, this journey will be one we definitely want to be on! 4) The Hunger Games- now we got a glimpse of the trailer and the film looks nothing short of intese, gripping, and straight up amazing! Just like the books for those of you who have been a fan of the games for quite some time now! 3) The Dark Knight Rises july 20th- this is supposedly the last of bane, and we all know that chris Nolan wont go out without a big bang, so heres to the caped crusader! . 2) the amazing spider man july 4th- this will be the first of mark webs spiderman series, promising to give a much more in depth look into peter parkers life 1) And the most anticipated flick for 2012 is the avengers which will release may 4th! I just cant wait to see the all star super hero packed ensemble cast take on the villians of the world. Not to mention...you know, thor...but seriously, thor aside, where else can you catch ironman, the hulk, captain America and black widow all in one place? Silent movie "The Artist" tops BAFTA nominations list
Far from a silent cry, French movie "The Artist" kicks off this year's BAFTA race with a total of 12 nominations.
Following its headtrick triumph at the Golden Globes from the weekend the black-and-white comedy is in the running for some of the top prizes, including best film.
Hot on its heels is Cold War spy movie "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" which received 11 nominations, including one for its leading actor.
SOUNDBITE: Daniel Radcliffe, actor, saying (English):
"I'd love Gary Oldman to get one for 'Tinker, Taylor', cause he's fantastic and it's a great film."
So one fan for sure but Oldman will have to outshine his fellow competitors including Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Michael Fassbender and Jean Dujardin if he wants to get his hands on his first BAFTA best actor award.
Elsewhere in the Best Actress category, it's Meryl Streep who made it onto the shortlist for her portrayal of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in "The Iron Lady."
She is up against Michelle Williams (My Week with Marilyn), Berenice Bejo (The Artist), Tilda Swinton (We Need to Talk About Kevin) and Viola Davis (The Help).
Overall competition this year seems more open than in 2011, says BAFTA chairman Tim Corrie.

"I think it's the diversity that is probably the most outstanding feature of what we've announced this morning. You know you're going from 'The Artist' to 'My Week with Marilyn' to 'Drive' to 'The Descendants' film and it's a braedth that we've not had for probably ten years I think there are 38 films covered this year as opposed to about to ten less last year. So -- it's a real mix and I would say if I can refer to it as a race that it's a really open one."
Other films hoping to make it first over the finish line on February 12 include Martin Scorsese's family adventure "Hugo", "My Week With Marilyn", "The Help" and Steven Spielberg's "War Horse."

Michael Fassbender Talks 'X-Men: First Class' Sequel

Hey guys, thanks for checking back with us at clevver movies, I'm your host Tatiana carrier with the details on an interview with IFC...and he dished all about the sequel for xmen first class! . As you guys know, last year's xmen film took Marvel's famous mutants back to their early days and cast Michael Fassbender as their former ally and eventual arch enemy, Magneto. . When he was asked by IFC how he would characterize his role in the first film ? which seemed to be a hero/villain combo? Fassbender said "I get where [Magneto] is coming from, that's for sure ? having read the source material, the comic books....From what we know with human beings, history has told us that we're a pretty destructive race, so you can see where he's coming from. It's always interesting for me to have the villains doing positive things as well as negative or destructive things. I just think it's more realistic." . Referencing the on-again, off-again friendship between McAvoy's character, Charles Xavier, and Fassbender's magnetic mutant in the Marvel Comics universe, Fassbender hinted that there's always the possibility that they'll be on the same side again. He said, "You know what's interesting about Magneto and Professor X from the comic books as well, is there's such a complexity to their relationship...It's not just like clear-cut enemies; they're best friends as well. In the comic books, even after they've had this sort of rift, Professor X asks Magneto to come back and look after the students at certain points." . HE ended with, "I think there's always that complexity in their relationship," he said. "And we want to keep that alive as possible, because that's I think a really interesting thing ? the conflict there." . Interesting!!! The critics have spoken, and ive got the low down on haywire! Hey guys thanks for cheking back with us at clevver movies im your host Tatiana carrier with your review round up on Haywire! . Haywire is about A black ops super soldier seeks payback after she is betrayed and set up during a mission and stars Gina Carano, Ewan McGregor and Michael Fassbender. The film is expected to make around $8 -- 10 million for the weekend, placing it in the middle of the top ten. With so many other male dominated fare such as Underworld Awakening, Red Tails and the Mark Wahlberg holdover Contraband hitting theaters this weekend, it will be hard to find an audience, but with a modest $23 million budget, it should end up a modest hit with strong word of mouth. . Anne Hornaday from the Washington post said, "Haywire" stays true to its low-rent B-movie principles, right down to the fast, strong and quietly competent heroine at its center." . Roger Ebert was also a fan! He said, "Gina Carano is wonderfully athletic, which is just as well, because she spends most of the film being wonderful athletic." . And finally Christy lamire from associated press said, "Haywire" feels like minor Soderbergh: zippy, hugely entertaining and well-crafted as always, but not one of his more important films in the broad scheme of things." . According to the Hollywood reporter, Fox has closed deals for director Matthew Vaughn and the cast of X-Men: First Class to return for the forthcoming sequel! Vaughn joins previously-announced collaborators Bryan Singer (X-Men and X2), who is producing, and Simon Kinberg, who wrote the critically-reviled X-Men: The Last Stand. X-Men: First Class successfully relaunched the franchise, and was one of the best reviewed tentpoles of the year, and earned $353.6 million worldwide. The sequel should benefit from the recent attention that Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence have attracted via upcoming projects like Fassbender's highly anticipated Prometheus and Lawrence's starring role in the even more highly anticpated adaptation of The Hunger Games.
