I'm Dana Ward and this is ClevverTV. Thanks to The Hollywood Reporter, we got word that Zac Efron is signed on for a new movie. It's called The Paperboy -- based on a Pete Dexter novel -- and it's being described as a sexual thriller. It's definitely got some drama in there, as it's about a newspaper reporter who heads to his Florida roots to investigate a death row prisoner's lock-up. Plus, some other big names are expected to star in The Paperboy include Tobey Maguire, Sofia Vergara and Matthew McConaughey. Gerard Butler, Sam Worthington and Matthew McConaughey will star in Freedom Films' upcoming action thriller "Thunder Run" with Simon West set to direct, announced Brian Presley (who will also produce ) and is CEO of Freedom Films. "Thunder Run," is an all CG 3-D action thriller based on the novel "Thunder Run - The Armored Strike to Capture Baghdad," by Pulitzer Prize-winning correspondent David Zucchino. "Thunder Run" is the untold story of the dangerous and bloody capture of Baghdad by American Forces at the onset of the Iraq War... In telling the story of the surprise assault on Baghdad- one of the most decisive battles in recent American combat history--this movie paints the harrowing picture of the soldiers on the front lines and the realities of modern warfare. In the tiny, rural town of Carthage, TX, assistant funeral director Bernie Tiede was one of the town's most beloved residents. He taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Everyone loved and appreciated Bernie, so it came as no surprise when he befriended Marjorie Nugent, an affluent widow who was as well known for her sour attitude as her fortune. Bernie frequently traveled with Marjorie and even managed her banking affairs. Marjorie quickly became fully dependant on Bernie and his generosity and Bernie struggled to meet her increasing demands. Bernie continued to handle her affairs, and the townspeople went months without seeing Marjorie. The people of Carthage were shocked when it was reported that Marjorie Nugent had been dead for some time, and Bernie Tiede was being charged with the murder.

Zac Efron is the latest Hollywood A-lister to head to the Cannes film festival, where he's been spotted posing for pictures and even revealing his latest love. Zac and his co-stars Nicole Kidman, Matthew McConaughey, and John Cusack are in Cannes to promote their film "The Paperboy." Yesterday they sat down for a panel session to answer questions about the film, which is actually included in this year's prestigious Cannes competition. Obviously, this movie is a huge opportunity for Zac -- especially have the opportunity to share the screen with an iconic Oscar-winner like Nicole Kidman. In fact Zac was quick to admit his feelings saying QUOTE: I've been in love with her for a long time -- since Moulin Rouge. It was the loveliest time in the world for me." "The Paperboy" is an independent film that takes place in the south in the 1960's. Zac Efron's character is working towards becoming writing and in the film he helps his journalist brother (played by Matthew McConaughey) look into some mishaps in the justice system. Over the course of the film, Zac's character finds himself in love with Nicole Kidman's character -- who happens to be in love with a jailed man, who is played by John Cusack. And here's what you all should get excited about -- Zac apparently spends the bulk of the movie in his underwear.
