BOW BOW chicka CHICKAHHH Looks like Ferris Bueller is back... . Hey movie buffs, Joshua Evan Ovenshire here for clever movies. A video swept the internet yesterday simply titled, COMING SOON. You then see Matthew Broderick opening the curtains to a fancy hotel room, makes a quick quip about not going to work and then being followed by a VERY memorable sound effect from, one of my favorite movies of all time, Ferris Bueller's Day off. It then immediately cuts to a date... February 5th, 2012 . That date actually corresponds, with the Super Bowl, and immediately, everyone was curious to know what we could expect. Well, it looks like the guys over at jalopnik.com got the inside scoop. It is in fact for a super bowl ad campaign for Honda, where Matthew Broderick will reprise his role as Ferris Bueller and in a series of commercials recreate moments from the 1986 John Hughes favorite, Ferris Bueller's Day off, just now as an adult and with a lot more Honda. For example, in that classic scene where the valet drivers make that big jump with Cameron's dads car, they'll now be driving a Honda CR-V. These spots are going to be fun, come on Honda brought on The Hangover's writer/director Todd Phillips to put this all together. This will easily be the highlight for me, during the big game. . Now back in June, we here at Clevver Movies reported on the status of an actual Ferris Bueller sequel. At the time, a story about Bueller being a motivational speaker just wanting one last hooraw and an epic day off from work was shopped around to a few production companies with deals with Paramount, the studio behind the original film.. Granted that Ferris Bueller, was honestly a hero of mine growing up, I hope that all the attention these commercials are getting sparks the interest of Paramount to make this movie happen! .
