Now with the warrior releaseing this week, I thought we would dedicate our top 5 Tuesday to top 5 boxing movies, now before you say it, I KNOW warrior is MMA, but there weren't too many of those out there so boxing will have to do! OK, coming in 5th place is Cinderella man starring Russell crowe & renee zillwiger. Cinderalla man released in 2005 is The story of James Braddock, a supposedly washed up boxer who came back to become a champion and an inspiration in the 1930s. In 4th place is ALI! Will smith is a legend and he went big willy style in ali, making this our almost first place holder. In Ali, Will smith portrays mohammad ali, the boxing legend and he did the man justice...the acting was incredible and the story line was even better... In 3rd place, we have a lady leading the bunch! Million Dollar Baby starring Hilary Swank is about A hardened trainer/manager who works with a determined woman in her attempt to establish herself as a boxer. This movie really made me fall in love with swank as an actress... In a close race for first, coming in 2nd is Martin Scorsese's RAGING BULL starring Robert dinero which is about An emotionally self-destructive boxer's journey through life... as the violence and temper that leads him to the top in the ring, destroys his life outside it. And coming in first place is... THE RROCKY FRANCHISE. I mean, did you rea`lly think it would be anything else? Sylvester stallone made this franchise a classic and made the rocky anthem a household favorite. If you haven't seen any of these movies, put on a pair of boxing gloves, punch yourself in the face, then rent buy or download it immediately. SO now that you've heard our list, share with us yours! Hey guys, thanks for tuning back in with us at clevver movies, im Tatiana carrier and ive got the details on a brotherly reunion! According to our friends at Deadline, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are reuniting in their first real picture partnership since Good Will Hunting. The Boston guys are taking on the story of New England's most notorious gangster, Whitey Bulger. Warner Bros will make the film, Affleck will direct, co-star and produce with Damon, who'll play Bulger...and bens bro casey who also strred in good will hunting and gone baby gone will have a supporting role as well! Ben dished on how pumped he was to work with pal and long time co star damon. He said, "Matt and I have been looking for something to do together for some time. We've heard about Whitey Bulger since we were kids, and we are excited by the prospect of putting it on screen." An ironic fun fact, Damon played a crooked cop in The Departed, the Martin Scorsese-directed film that took a page from the Bulger story. The actor is in negotiations to portray a minor but showy role of a off-kilter gambler who buys the wife played by Kerry Washington much to his misfortune. Now im pretty pumped about this addition! Doesn't it seem like every week a new a lister is added to the cast roster? AS you guys know this flick is JAM packed with a list acting inclulding Jamie Fooxx, Chrisptophe waltz, alsoLeonardo DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kurt Russell, Don Johnson, RZA,and Anthony LaPaglia among others.
