Call of Duty fans, get ready for something new! On May 15th Modern Warfare 3 gets it's next drop of DLC. But here's how it's changing up. It will have 2 new modes for multiplayer, but instead of being the standard 6 on 6 action, it's going to scale it back to 1 on 1 and 2 on 2 battles.

I know up front this seems kind of odd, but the same day they are releasing maps specifically for these modes. So normally you'd have giant maps with long lines of sight. These new maps however will be much smaller with short lines of sight. It'll keep you on your toes and force different play styles.

Alright so how this works, is we get the new mode and two new maps on the 15th of May. The following week on the 22nd we get 2 more maps for the new mode face off, 2 new spec op missions and then 2 more maps for multiplayer as well. So be ready for that. Well, actually only if you own an Xbox. You know how this goes, xbox gets the dlc first, then eventually we'll see it release on PS3 and PC.

The second Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 DLC Collection launches on May 22 with all-new Multiplayer/Survival Mode Maps, Special Ops Missions and the debut of Face Off maps. Totally new to the franchise, Face Off distills all the fun and intensity of multiplayer into a new breed of 1 vs. 1 and 2 vs. 2 close combat. In addition to 2 Face Off maps (Getaway and Lookout), Collection 2 deploys with 3 additional multiplayer maps (Sanctuary, Foundation and Oasis) and 2 Special Ops Missions (Iron Clad and Switch Back), offering fans new venues to test their Multiplayer and Special Ops skills.
The MW3 Collection #2 will be released on Xbox Live on May 22 for 1200 Microsoft Points (or $14.99).
For Elite Premium members, the content will be available to download on May 15.
In addition to MW3 Collection #2, we are also releasing two free Face Off maps - Aground and Erosion. Mass Effect's Multiplayer maybe getting some big DLC very VERY soon. Sony's Hong Kong website posted a listing for Mass Effect Rebellion DLC, well, then took it down right after. Big kicker though, we could be getting this expansion as early as next week!

In the posting they mentioned that we'd be getting 2 new maps called Firebase Jade and Firebase Goddess. Not done yet though, 3 new weapons and even more equipment, want more? How bout six new character classes! Now that sounds awesome, but something sounds fishy about that, classes? I don't know, maybe they meant six new characters. Either way, wowza. Now all of this sounds cool, but if there is going to be more DLC for multiplayer, I'd hope to get at least one new mode as well.

Now EA hasn't made any announcement or commented much on this, so technically this does fall under the rumors and speculation category. And to play both sides, we did just get new dlc for the game already fairly recently. So would they already have another big drop so soon? I think we're all still waiting for the new ending cinematic that is suppose to be coming out this summer.

This game has a bit of everything for everyone in it. Not only is it a fast paced shooter but it also focuses on tactical gameplay, with a good balance between pvp and co-op.
