The CW network up fronts are in full-swing and we have your first look at one new fall show -- it's a modern take on a classic story -- Beauty and the Beast. The show stars Smallville album Kristin Kreuk in the role of Detective Catherine Chandler. According to the show's description, Catherine Chandler witnessed her mother's murder when she was a teen and the only reason she survived was because someone or actually something saved her and we have your sneak peek at the attack that changed her life and the scene where she was saved:
Flash-forward several years and the show will pick back up in Catherine's adult years. Her job as a police detective lead her back to the death of her mother and the person or being that saved her life. Catherine discovers a doctor named Vincent, who FYI is incredibly good looking and yes, he has a pretty big secret. When he becomes angry, he turns into....wait for it...can you guess -- ah, yes a beast. But a lifesaving beast at a that. Vincent, the beast is played by Max Brown, and you all can look forward to a connection between the two characters that we're hoping will lead to some love.
