Pink Floyd's pig flies again.
It took a very early start, 12 canisters of gas and some careful manoeuvres to recreate one of British rock music's most enduring images.
Throw into the mix an inflatable pig the size of a bus above London's Battersea Power Station, and you have a recreation of Pink Floyd's Animals album cover -- 35 years on from the original shoot -- and restaged to mark the reissue of the band's back catalogue.
The original photographer Howard Bartrop was just twenty-three years old in December 1976 and on one of his first professional assignments.

"It was quite tricky that day and very cold and of course famously after a day or so we had the problem where he floated up away from the building and was spotted by commercial pilots landing into Heathrow. He then floated off towards Kent, followed by a police helicopter, landed in a farm I believe and frightened all the cattle. Basically he was retrieved, patched up and put back in the air the next day so we could try and photograph him again."
Record bosses had to commission a new exact replica inflatable pig for the stunt because the original cover star was found to be leaky.
But such a minor detail didn't stop the die hard Pink Floyd fans like 49-year-old Julia Kleemann from Perth in Western Australia getting up at first light to see history re-created

The last character to land this coveted role was Marlon Brando back in 1978...Brando scored a whopping 16 million for his short, 15 minute part...and that was back in the 70's!!! If Russel Crowe takes the part, we aren't sure how large his role OR paycheck will be, but you KNOW we will keep you up to date as we get more details. As a guitarist and performer on the East London rock circuit, the band quickly became established as well known musicians in their hometown of Romford & Upminster in Essex.
It was moving to Kent for University after the split of 'Ostara' that Lucy's love for acoustic and folk took hold. Lucy naturally began taking inspiration from the likes of Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Sandy Denny and music from her parents influential collection of 70's sounds. Beginning as a solo performer in her first year of university, Lucy soon became a rising star on the Canterbury music scene and has been a respected local talent ever since. Recognition for her songwriting saw her reach the semi finals of the BBC Radio 2 young folk award in 2007.
Beyond the UK, Lucy has fans across Europe and USA; having performed in Sweden and Switzerland, and organised her own mini-tour of North California, Lucy continues to spread her music far and wide. With radio air play in Australia as well as back home, and famous fans from the likes of anti-folk hero Billy Bragg, exposure of Lucy's music is fast catching up her exceptional talent.

With no contact to the outside world, and no way out, panic turns to terror as events become increasingly ominous in and around the house. Directed by filmmaking duo Chris Kentis and Laura Lau, SILENT HOUSE uses meticulous camera choreography to take the audience on a tension-filled, real time journey, experienced in a single uninterrupted shot.
From the directors of Open Water and starring Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene), SILENT HOUSE is based on "La Casa Muda", the official Uruguayan entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category to the 84th Academy Awards.
