Hi everyone, you're back at CLevverMusic. I'm Bridget Daly in Hollywood today. We wouldnt normally think of Katy Perry and Michael Jackson being in the same league as one another--no offense to Katy at all. But she's surprised a lot of people with her latest accomplishment. according to MTV, if her single Last Friday Night reaches number one on Billboard, she'll become the first female artist to land five chart-toppers from one album and will tie MJ's record-high five from his Bad album. The catchy tune just jumped from 27 to #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, and it's showing no signs of slowing down. The single's success is largely due to the music video she released for it, starring Rebecca Black, Glee cast members, and even Kenny G. I'm your host Dana Ward and if you're a big Katy Perry fan, you probably caught the debut of her latest music video for Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.). It basically takes us back in time with a not-so-Hollywood Kathy Beth Terry. She wakes up to a complete mess in bedroom -- with the first introduction of some Glee stars -- thanks to Darren Criss. He gives a big thank you and "best party ever" shout to KP's alter-ego. Basically, it's the morning after she winds up partying hard -- she even runs into her geeky Prince Charming, played by Kevin Hale. Not only were the Gleeks in the house, but even Corey Feldman and Debbie Gibson popped up as Kathy Beth Terry's parents, plus there were cameos from Hanson and Kenny G. But you can't ignore the fact that Rebecca Black, star of the viral video Friday, is in the story -- actually dishing a bit of a makeover and bad influence on Katy's character. About the casting, Katy tweeted out 'I used the Inception method by putting @MsRebeccaBlack in a song about Friday. It's a dream within a dream people... #musicvideomindgames' and since this all went public, there have been a ton of tweets between Rebecca and Katy's other twitter account for Kathy Beth Terry, both STILL in character, things like 'Aww cute! Even better now that I cut your headgear off for you' and 'SOOO glad we're friends again...'
