21 JumpStreet pulls out the big guns! For those of you who caught 21 jump street this past weekend---besides getting your laugh on, most likely you also experienced a moment of shock when Johnny Depp graced the screen!

That's right, JD, one of the biggest stars in the world, made jokes with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in the reboot of 21 Jump street.

So how did depp get there anyway? Screenwriter Michael Bacall explained that star Jonah Hill, who was also a writer on the film, wanted to approach Johnny Depp early in the process and heard that the mega-star who got his start on the 80's FOX series might be interested in making an appearance in the film, but wanted to make sure his character "Tom Hanson" was given proper closure.

And while Depp's appearance in the film is fairly brief, the star made an immediate impact on set. Phil Lord the co director of the flick told Moviefone that " "Basically, on a movie set that we were supposed to be in charge, you realize how not in charge of anything you are. How crazy that can make a set. And then you realize instantly why someone like that is such a big movie star. He walks on set, there's no smoking on set. 'OK, no problem.' He's smoking. You're like, 'Of course!' That's what makes him awesome."

So despite Depps disregard for the smoking policies, everyone on the film agreed he was a great addition to the flick and awesome to work with. Lord said, . "Such a creative guy. Such a genuine person, great improviser. Game. Doesn't take himself so seriously. It was like, 'I understand why he makes a kajillion dollars.' He's awesome. Everything you would hope for in a movie star, he's it."

Kristen Stewart stepped out in bright pop of color for the premiere of Paul McCartney's music video for "My Valentine," which stars two of Hollywood's most sought-after actors -- Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp. With a duo of stars like those two and a voice as powerful as Paul McCartney, it makes sense that Kristen Stewart would show some support in a great classy rocker look. K-Stew wore a bright blue skirt, with a black blouse, black fitted blazer and some funky black shoes. She added some edge to her look with bright red lips and tasseled hair. The actress reunited with none other than female rock legend Joan Jett, who she brought to life a few years ago in the indie flick "The Runaways." Also on hand for the soiree were Gwyneth Paltrow, Gwen Stefani, Zooey Deschanel and many others! For an up-close and personal look at K-Stew's outfit, click the link below and don't forget to leave your fashion review below as well. The summer movie season is upon us and it looks like the first big movie of the summer is also the most anticipated. According to a recent survey conducted by movie ticket site Fandango, The Avengers is the film moviegoers are most eager to see among men and second among females behind Snow White and the Huntsmen.

We told you yesterday that tracking on The Avengers is stronger than that of The Hunger Games and is currently outpacing that other big summer superhero flick, The Dark Knight Rises. Christopher Nolan's final Batman film ranked second in the survey among men and fourth among women behind Men In Black 3.

Rounding out the list of anticipated films among men is The Bourne Legacy at number 3, Men In Black 3 at number four and Prometheus was named the fifth most anticipated film. Rounding out the top 5 films for the ladies is the Johnny Depp starrer Dark Shadows.

One notable film missing from the list is The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. After gaining some momentum following the latest trailer, it seems the Spider-Man reboot has lost some footing and could be completely out of the race for the box office crown.

So what do you think of the list of films? Are these your top picks for most anticipated summer movies or is there another film you're really looking forward to that didn't make the list? Johnny Depp Talks TONTO and we have the details!

Johnny Depp sat down to talk his character TONTO in The Lone Ranger with Entertainment weekly and he had quite abit to say about his warrior character!

Last month, a photo was released of Depp and co star armie hammer from the lone ranger, and its pretty clear that depp is sticking to his workd that his tonto will be a major shift from the tonto we may be used to seeing, like that of Jay SIlverheels from the 1950s tv show.

Here is what Depp told EW about how he developed the look! He said, " I'd actually seen a painting by an artist named Kirby Sattler, and looked at the face of this warrior and thought: That's it...The stripes down the face and across the eyes ... it seemed to me like you could almost see the separate sections of the individual, if you know what I mean."

Depp explained that the lines of paint on the Native American's face looked to him like a cross-section of the man's emotional life. He went on to say, "There's this very wise quarter, a very tortured and hurt section, an angry and rageful section, and a very understanding and unique side. I saw these parts, almost like dissecting a brain, these slivers of the individual."

But not ewveyrone is pleased with this look, in a colomn titled, "Why Tonto Matters," Native Appropriations blogger Adrienne K. expressed the frustration echoed by some other Native Americans over Depp's characterization, saying there are too few authentic portrayals of Native people in pop culture to accept a highly fantasized version.

Depps response, well he means no harm! HE said, "The whole reason I wanted to play Tonto is to try to [mess] around with the stereotype of the American Indian that has been laid out through history, or the history of cinema at the very least ? especially Tonto as the sidekick, The Lone Ranger's assistant....As you'll see, it's most definitely not that."

The Lone Ranger opens May 13, 2013. So what do you guys think about this tonoto controversy? Let us know in the comment section below and be sure to keep it locked right here on clevver movies, your number one source for movie news!

Walt Disneys Lone Ranger to take a different approach than we are used to! Details coming your way!

Grammy-winning rocker Jack white has been commissioned to write, produce and perform the score for Jerry Bruckheimer Films' upcoming adaptation of "The Lone Ranger." This will be Whites first feature score! So congrats to him!!! Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is pretty pumped about white joining the team and told variety, "Jack's an amazing songwriter with a unique style....We're thrilled to hear his fresh take on the William Tell Overture."

As we have mentioned in other stories, the lone ranger will be taking a very different approach than previous iterations...heres a soundbite from Johnny Depp aka TONTO talking about the differences!

Jerry Bruckheimer also hinted that the film would be different than what we are used to by referring to Jack Whites score as very rock and roll....take a listen!

For those of you not aware, the lone ranger stars Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer and is based on the popular television series from the 1950s and tells the story of a masked crime fighter (Hammer) and his Native American spirit guide , Tonto, played by Depp.

"The Lone Ranger," is slated for release May 31, 2013. So what do you guys think about this fresh take on the lone ranger? Let us know in the comment section below and be sure to keep it locked right here on clevver movies, your number one source for movie news!

Dark Shadows hits theaters on May 11th, 2012.

Cast: Johnny Depp, Eva Green, Helena Bonham Carter, Chloe Moretz, Michelle Pfeiffer, Jackie Earle Haley, Bella Heathcote, Jonny Lee Miller, Thomas McDonell, Gulliver McGrath

In the year 1752, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England to start a new life in America. But even an ocean was not enough to escape the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. Two decades pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the world at his feet-or at least the town of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is rich, powerful and an inveterate playboy...until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in every sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive.

Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared little better, each harboring their own dark secrets. Matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard (Michelle Pfeiffer) has called upon live-in psychiatrist, Dr. Julia Hoffman (Helena Bonham Carter), to help with her family troubles.

Also residing in the manor is Elizabeth's ne'er-do-well brother, Roger Collins, (Jonny Lee Miller); her rebellious teenage daughter Carolyn Stoddard (Chloe Moretz); and Roger's precocious 10-year-old son, David Collins (Gulliver McGrath). The mystery extends beyond the family, to caretaker Willie Loomis, played by Jackie Earle Haley, and David's new nanny, Victoria Winters, played by Bella Heathcote.

The Avengers is a hit, but the summer movie season is just getting started. We're breaking down all the hottest movies you won't want to miss this summer. Next up is Dark Shadows on May 11th. Johnny Depp stars as Barnabus Collins, an 18th century playboy who's turned into a vampire and buried alive by a jilted witch. He is inadvertently freed and finds himself in 1972 and must learn to adjust to his new surroundings and help his troubled descendants. If you haven't gotten your comedy fix with Dark Shadows, Sacha Baron Cohen returns on May 16th, this time in The Dictator, the heroic story of a dictator who risks his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed. Battleship sails into theaters that same week on May 18th. Already a hit overseas, Battleship is loosely based on the Hasbro board game and follows a U.S. Navy fleet that must take down an invading alien armada. This one stars Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson and Brooklyn Decker. May 25th marks the return of Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones as our favorite Men In Black in the third installment of the popular franchise. This time, Agent J must travel back in time to the 1960's to stop an alien from assassinating his friend Agent K. We're looking forward to this one just to see the spot on impression Josh Brolin does as a Young Agent K. The Avengers star Chris Hemsworth returns on June 1st as a Huntsman hired by the Evil Queen to kill Snow White, but instead decides to teach her how to kick butt in this reimagining of the classic fairy tale. Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron co-star. On June 8th, Ridley Scott returns to his sci-fi roots with Prometheus, a prequel of sorts to his 1979 Alien film. The film stars Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace and Guy Pearce. June 15th will have two comedies vowing for your hard earned dollars with Adam Sandler playing Andy Samberg's deadbeat dad in That's My Boy and Tom Cruise rocking out in the adaptation of the hit musical Rock of Ages. History gets a horrific rewrite on June 22nd with the release of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Based on the best seller by Seth Grahame-Smith, the film finally reveals our 16th President as the axe wielding vampire hunter he truly was. Also out June 22nd is Pixar's thirteenth full length film and the first with a female lead, Brave. The film tells the story of Princess Merida who must rely on her bravery and archery skills to undo a beastly curse. The Joes are a go on June 29th. Dwanye Johnson and Bruce Willis take charge in this sequel that promises much more action than the 2009 original. From what we've seen of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Channing Tatum won't be getting much screen time as Duke this go round. If want to see even more of Channing, and we do mean more, then you can check him out also that week in Magic Mike where he plays a male stripper. Fourth of July brings us Andrew Garfield taking over for Tobey Maguire in 'The Amazing Spider-Man'. Spidey must take on Lizard in this reboot that co-stars Emma Stone as love interest Gwen Stacy. So there you have it, some of the big movies you won't want to miss this summer. This is just the tip of the iceberg that promises to be one of the best seasons for movies ever. Which of these films are you planning to see? Let us know in the comments section and be sure to subscribe to ClevverMovies to stay up to date on all latest movie news all summer. Johnny Depp was spotted in Hollywood signing autographs for fans after filming today. He took plenty of time to sign everything before he left. Johnny's always good to his fans, and we love him for it, and we'll always get behind whatever he does...except for that terrible, terrible cowboy hat.
