Jennifer stopped by Chelsea Lately last night to talk up the film and the huge fan mania surrounding it, which she says she can only compare to being in a boy band. The Hunger Games grossed an insane $155 million, shattering records and surpassing any "Twilight" pic; overseas, and opened to $59.3 million for a worldwide total of $214.3 million.

The book to film adaptation had the third-best debut of all time and the best for any film opening outside of summer. This didn't come as a major shock as Suzanne Collins' novel is a top seller! The flick starred Jennifer Lawrence,Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth and also the biggest opening for a nonsequel. What does this mean for the actual sequal? Astronomical numbers my friends.

HEres what Lionsgate President of Marketing Tim Palen had to say about the films already monumental success "It was the perfect storm. Having the first film in a franchise to be so gigantic is amazing. We had a great book and a great director inGary Ross."

So just one more side note, you know for bragging rights---Among the past films that Hunger Games surpassed in its opening weekend were Spider-Man 3 ($151.1 million in 2007), The Twilight Saga: New Moon ($142.8 million in 2009) and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 ($138.1 million last year). Those are some major movies folks. IT will be interesting to see how the games stack up against this summers superhero flick like the avengers, the amazing spiderman and the dark knight rises!

Besides doing well at the box office, the hunger games was actually a GREAT movie! The film drew in an A on CinemaScore overall on Friday night, with those under age 25 giving it a glowing A+ and those over 25 an A-.

Taylor Swift, Debby Ryan, and Miranda Cosgrove are just three of the many celebs rocking a trend that has made its way back to Hollywood once again -- bangs! Over the years, we've seen the hair change-up come and go, and now thanks to some top celeb style-setters the fun and sometimes funky look is here to stay. First up, take a look at Taylor Swift. The 22 year old singer completely changed up her signature curly-haired tresses when she was chosen to cover Vogue magazine. Since then though, Swift has chosen to keep her blonde straight bangs and test out some very high-end looks. Perhaps she took a cue from the woman who single handedly brought fashion-forward bangs back to Hollywood -- New Girl star Zooey Deschanel. In fact, Zooey has almost become a spokesperson for the bang community and her style is definitely at the forefront of this look. IN fact, when you look at Zooey in this side by side shot with emerging super-star Carly Rae Jepsen, you can't help but notice the style similarity. Both ladies have wavy dark locks and thick bangs -- do we have a case of celebrity doppelgangers here or what?

Even some of our favorite Disney and Nickelodeon stars are rocking this top trend. Jessie star Debby Ryan, Shake It Up Star Bella Thorne and even iCarly leading lady Miranda Cosgrove have been known to rock bangs from time to time, and it's fun to see a different sort of all-up style like Bella's rocking.

And you know a trend it hot hot hot when it's made its way into the world of the Hunger Games, and J-LAW, Jennifer Lawrence, chopped some cute bangs for her world press tour for THG. We saw the superstar rock a variety of styles with her longer, fuller bangs and every single look was fun and flawless.

Keep in mind though that there are several variations when it comes to bangs trend. All around fashionista and one of our favorites, Vanessa Hudgens, shows off a cool change-up with her bangs parted down the middle with this updo, while several others rock a trend that we can't get enough of -- the side swoop bang -- count them all -- we'vehttp://www.bravotv.com/miss-advised got Chelsea Kane, Demi Lovato, Emma Stone, Jennette McCurdy, Miley Cyrus and Troian Bellisario!

That said there is definitely a bang style out there for everyone -- even the guys -- I mean, we couldn't do a segment like this without giving a shout-out to the man who made bangs fashionable for dudes out there -- Justin Bieber has had a bang revolution of his own -- from this early look to his current style -- and we've loved them all.

GARY ROSS EXITS THE HUNGER GAMES!!!! Details coming your way!

WE just reported this morning that Lionsgate and Fox worked out their scheduling issues to allow Jennifer Lawrence to shoot "Catching Fire" and the "X-Men: First Class" sequel essentially back-to-back?BUT NOW its looking like before any of that happens, Lionsgate is going to have to fund a new director for the hunger games!!!

The Playlist has confirmed that Gary Ross has officially exited the franchise and will not direct the sequel, formally giving Lionsgate and Summit his notice earlier this week, that he will not be coming back...which is pretty strange considering he was supposedly on board for all 3 films!

While most are assuming it's a money thing, we are thinking not so much... Ross already has a fairly lucrative career as a screenwriter (and rewriter) and money isn't really the issue. WE just think it may be a "I want to move on to another project" situation.

As we get more details we will let you guys know...."Catching Fire"still shoots this fall and will open on November 22, 2013. So what do you guys think about Gary Ross leaving the franchise? The Xmen Sequel to start shooting in January, and we have the details!

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Fox was informing talent agencies Thursday that the studio plans to begin shooting its in-development sequel to X-Men: First Class in January. That means Lionsgate could move forward with an August-September start date for the Hunger Games sequel Catching Fire without a conflict for Jennifer Lawrence, who is set to star in both.

Fox and Lionsgate were going back and forth just a few months ago when matthew vaugh was considering shooting X-Men follow-up in the fall, potentially conflicting with Lionsgate's plans for Hunger Games. Legally, Fox, which cast Lawrence as the shape-shifting Mystique in summer 2010, months before Lionsgate chose her to play Katniss Everdeen in March 2011, has the right to exercise the option on her contract if it conflicts with another Hunger. That's true even though Lawrence is part of a large ensemble in X-Men but is the clear star of the Hunger franchise.

Either way, we are sure they will work it out and we will have access to both sequels in no time. Catching Fire is set to hit theaters November 22nd, 2013 while the X-Men First Class sequel is expected sometime in 2014. GARY ROSS HAS NOT YET WALKED AWAY FROM THE GAMES and ofcourse, we have the details!

WE reported last week that Director from the hunger games, Gary Ross had stepped away from the remaining 2 films attached to the hunger games franchise and now we learn, According to sources close to the film, Gary Ross has not formally that still isn't 100% true.

Gary Ross hasnot formally withdrawn from The Hunger Games sequel. Ross is off on a family vacation and couldn't be reached, but these internet reports that described his withdrawal as definitive are simply not true.

Despite reports that Ross has stepped away, until the man himself says it, its just a rumor. After all, we were promised the Ross would stay throughout the franchise to keep the films consistent...and this sudden drop off just doesn't make sense...we know its not money...so what exactly

With the announcement of the X-Men First Class sequel shooting in January, the short production schedule before he loses main star Jennifer Lawrence could be a concern to Ross....either way we will keep you posted!
