According to Deadline, Peter and Bobby Farrelly are moving forward with another project they've long wanted to do: a second installment of the New Line 1994 hit Dumb and Dumber. The intention is to bring back Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, the lovable dimwitted pals with big hearts and small brains. Sean Anders and John Morris have been hired to write the script and the HOPE is for the Farrelly Brothers to direct...which would just seal the deal on this being a homerun down memory lane! So why make another? Well, the original Dumb and Dumber, made on a $16 million budget, grossed nearly $250 million worldwide. Then there came the awful, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. Made on the cheap with lookalike actors...but still obviously not horrible enough to kill the franchise. As soon as we get more deets we will keep you guys posted. Weve got photos of Joseph Gordon Levitt in Looper. The upcoming sci-fi film features The Dark Knight Rises star plays a young version of Bruce Willis' character and we're getting a first look at his transformation into Willis' doppelganger that took hours in the makeup chair to achieve.

The synopsis of the flick is as follows, "In the September 28 release, time travel will be invented -- but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a "looper" -- a hired gun, like Joe played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt -- is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good... until the day the mob decides to "close the loop," sending back Joe's future self played by Bruce Willis for assassination.

Looper hits the big screen sept 28 2012. Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, Noah Segan, Piper Perabo and Jeff Daniels co-star with Joseph Gordon Levitt.

Dumb and Dumber 2 will start production in September and we have the details!

Last summer, ComingSoon.net broke the news that Jim Carrey was in talks with The Farrelly brothers to develop a sequel to their 1994 film Dumb and Dumber. Then we found out that Sean Anders and John Morris had come aboard to provide the screenplay. And now we learn that the sequel is in fact coming and we can expect filming to start later this year.

Peter Farrelly was at the stooges junket and dished on the sequel, he said, "We're getting set to shoot 'Dumb and Dumber 2' in September...It's the first sequel we've ever done and we've got Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels back."

While we are all used to a certain cumb and dumber, Peter Farrelly stresses that this is something very different in this outing...he said, "We did not do 'Dumb and Dumberer...That was a studio thing. So we've always wanted to do a sequel and finally Jim called up. "
