2009 Golden Globe Winners Predictions Hi Im Joslyn Davis for Clevver TV coming to you from our Beverly Hills headquarters WHERE awards season has officially begun. Golden Globe nominations were announced just a few weeks ago and already Hollywood insiders are buzzing with predictions this years Academy Awards. Some experts are actually a bit disappointed in Globe nominations and say that there arent any big trends as far as one film that could possibly sweep several categories. I dont call that disappointing---it just means anything could happen. For entertainment junkies and gossip columnists, the nominee lineup is pretty sweet. Anne Hathaway, Angelina Jolie, and Kate Winslet are among the women being nominated for Best Actress in a motion picture drama WHILE Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn and Brad Pitt are just three of the men up for Best Actor Nods. And if thats not enough to get you to tune in when the show airs in a few weeks, perhaps names like Javier Bardem, James Franco, Penelope Cruz or Colin Ferrell will persuade you, as each of these actors are nominated in other categories. However, the big award to watch for will in the category of best performance by a supporting actor in a motion picture. This is for two reasons. One is that unlikely nominee Tom Cruise is in the running for his hilarious role in Tropic Thunder. The other is that Heath Ledger is nominated for what became his last performance as Joker in The Black Knight. Racking up nominations overall with five apiece are The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Frost/Nixon and Doubt. Film insiders suspect that Button will go home with the most globes and is easily at the top of the list this year. You can also expect Mama Mia to win in the category for comedy or musical, unless an underdog film like Vicky Cristina Barcelona pulls through at the last moment. Making appearances in the television categories are fan favorites like Entourage, 30 Rock, and The Office. I think the toughest competition this year might just be with the ladies nominated for a comedy or musical television series. America Ferrera, Tina Fey, Christina Applegate, Mary Louise Parker and the lovely Debra Messing are EASILY all deserving of the award, so voters definitely have their work cut out for them. The awards are set to air January 11th. But, dont expect to see all your favorite couples together. Word has it that Tom Cruise will be rolling solo-his wife Katie Holmes will be staying behind in New York to fulfill her Broadway role. At least Katie wont have to worry about him running into his beautiful ex Nicole Kidman, because her epic film Australia was completely shut out. That said, this yearss Golden Globe awards are shaping up to be a sure hit!

Whats up guys, Im Tatiana carrier and I have the latest on the Dark Tower. We recently reported that Universal canceled Dark Tower and now its looking like Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are searching for other ways to get the project distributed. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Producer Grazer told the New York Post's Page Six that it will have to be put off until at least next year, but that director Howard is "trying to get outside financing to make it, and distribute it through a major [studio]." Despite not having any solid distribution plans, the project is certain on one thing...Javier Bardem WILL star as gunslinger Roland Deschain. As we get more details on dark tower, we will be sure to keep you posted! Hey there movie buffs, Im Tatiana carrier and ive got the latest on bond 23! Its looking like the Spanish actor Javier bardem has confirmed his role as the villain in the next james bond film which is currentrly called bond 23. Bardem recently told ABC's Nightline that he's looking forward to being 007's nemesis, he said, "I'm very excited because my parents took me to watch the movies and I saw all of them. So to play that is going to be fun." In other bond 23 news, Daniel Craig returns as suave British agent 007 in Bond 23, which may have its name now, according toFusible.com. The site reported that the MGM and Sony Pictures release, slated for late 2012, will likely be called Skyfall, according to several domain name registrations that were privately purchased through brand protection company Mark Monitor. Bond 23 will be released in the U.K. and Ireland on Oct. 26 of next year, with the U.S. launch set for Nov. 9. So are you guys pumped about this latest update from Bardem? According to the hollywood reporter Daniel Craig marks his return as British secret agent James Bond in the 23rd installment titled Skyfall surrounded by an all star team including Javier Bardem ,Ralph Fiennes, Albert Finney and the returning Judi Dench. Director Sam Mendes introduced Craig, Dench, Bardem and Skyfall's Bond girls played by French actress Berenice Marlohe and Britain's Naomie Harris at a press conference Thursday in the British capital. Director Sam Mendes took the opportunity to assure all his fans that his Bond film would stick to the traditions of the world's longest running franchise and have plenty of action...he said, "Skyfall, I think, has all the elements of a classic Bond movie, including, to quell any rumors, a lot of action," Mendes said. HE went on to say it was his aim to quell internet speculation, media rumors and confirm a few facts about the latest 007 but also spent much of the conference being unable to reveal any titbits about plot and such. In regards to budget, With a reported production price tag of around $200 million for the last two movies, the 007 films are at the high end for film budgets in the current economic climate. "We've not had to take anything out of the script to make cost cuts, "We keep adding things in. All the money spent will be seen on screen, Michael G Wilson one of the producers of the movies said. Daniel Craig returns as James Bond
The worst keep secrets in London have been official confirmed.
Details about the new Bond film were announced at a London press conference with the movies cast and director, Sam Mendes.
Daniel Craig will return as the British secret agent in "Skyfall", the 23rd installment of one of the world's longest-running and most successful film franchises.
SOUNDBITE: Daniel Craig, actor, saying (English):
"I wasn't worried about it. I mean if it didn't happen, it didn't happen. I mean, I would have to be as cool as I could be about it because you know, this is a really privileged position to be in and I count myself lucky."
Mendes assured fans that Bond's latest adventure would adhere to the high octane formula that have made the films an enduring genre - noting he is more than just a director, his also a fan.
SOUNDBITE: San Mendes, director, saying (English):
"Of course every young English schoolboy brings up with them, in a sense, it's a part of my life. I remember vividly remember seeing one of the first Bond movies which was 'Live and Let Die' and the impact it had on me. But there was something else, which was, frankly, he's sitting right next to me, I got very excited when i saw my friend Daniel Craig play James Bond in 'Casino Royale'. I thought it opened up all sorts of wonderful possibilities for the character, I love that movie."
Rounding out the cast will be Spanish actor Javier Bardem as the villain.
And Judi Dench returns as Bond's stern boss "M" - who talked about the mystery surrounding the film.

"Well it's terrible, I said to Sam yesterday, 'how much can you say,' he said, 'not much.' And I mean, that's the whole nature of secrecy isn't it."
The film is scheduled to hit British theaters next year on October 26 and in the U.S. on November 9.

Is Dark Tower happening or not? AS you guys know the 3 feature films of stpehan kings post apolyptic western dark tower were axed by universal...since then, the film partners have not given up.

According to Deadline, warner brothers is close to closing the deal that will have ron howard at the helm and Javier bardem as star as gunslinger roland deschain.

For those of you not familiar with the story The Dark Tower is about the last living member of a knightly order of gunslingers, with Deschain becoming humanity's last hope to save civilization as he hits the road to find the Dark Tower. Along the way, he encounters characters, good and bad, in a world that has an Old West feel.
